Hospitalised cases are less but we don't how much that'll change over the winter.

They're not going to be able to distribute the kind of numbers quoted without some sort of emergency approval(s) therefore I still expect too see that sooner rather than later (i.e this year). Also, they won't turn on 100's of thousands of doses like a light switch. It'll ramp up to that so it's not unreasonable to expect them to be supplying treatments this year (if they get the aforementioned approvals).

Youre actually questioning RMs integrity when his and the companies actions this year have given us no good reason to.

No Scinv, I would not agree that we can forget about this year. The drug is badly needed for this winter and think we'll see it approved in some capacity this year.

Scinv, the company are working towards producing 100's of thousands of treatments in 2021. They are currently in discussion with regulatory agencies about approvals. Why would they be in discussions with them now if the trial had to run its course until May next year?

I bet the II's that bought around the £2 range around jumping up and down for more news. They'll understand its a process and it's eventually only going one way.

The fact they need a partnership/funding has not changed but the statement in today's RNS they have said they have cash for 12 months. They also said they will need extra funding to meet scale-up demand however they outline many options for that funding, including equity issuance therefore they don't need to rush into any partnership deals. That's a sensible position to take.

Spot on Dumbpunter, and isn't that the best strategy? Demonstrate to the market that they can go it alone and it gives them a much stronger hand in negotiations.

Hi Dibs, yea they've been clear that they would look to transact with a pharma at some point but that does not necessarily mean worldwide exclusive rights. There could be different licences per region.

Additionally, they are currently aiming to produce 100k treatments per month and, though they accept they will need funding for that, they haven't ruled out issuing equity for that funding.

In short, there is no timeline on a transaction with a pharma and/or government so until we hear more, they are going it alone. The more milestones they reach on their own, the more expensive it'll be for a partner(s) to come on board.

Hi Max, I agree and think we will have a US distribution update at some point. The 100k a month treatments would support that as it's not enough to support both EU and US active case numbers.

Are SNG going to go it alone in the UK/EU whilst they out-licence in the US?

Well done Septic Peg! But actually the impact doesn't matter if you have a little foresight and patience.

There are currently 2,182,184 active cases in Europe. If 1 in 20 were to require treatment we can quickly see why the aim is to produce 100,000 treatments a month. No matter what way we look at it, 100,000 treatments a month blows the current Mcap out of the water.

It does however leave a huge question mark with regards to US distribution. They currently have 2.8m active cases so the (initial) demand would be similar.

It should also be noted that this mornings agreement is only for hospitalised patients. If they get home use approval at some point over the next year expect that demand to multiply.

Spot on John! They would have taken advantage of the huge rise to raise money if they thought(knew) for a second they wouldn't get it from elsewhere.

Seb, you clearly don't have the patience for this tyoe of thing. You were peddling the same unsubstantiated nonsense before 20th July.

The only benefit I can see to lobbying MP's would be to get them to raise the profile of the home trial so it could be filled faster. It's probably a little late though. The government would have been well aware of it when that arm started back in May. Han**** neglected to mention the home trial arm when he spoke of the hospital trial readout in parliament. I was shocked as that was a perfect opportunity to help.

Having said all that, the lack of government involvement or help over the last 6 months means they can hardly expect any favours when it comes to paying for SNG001.

You've actually inferred on both counts; that there are piece(s) missing from the supply chain and that they won't have meaningful quanitites in place should they get approval.

Not having meaningful quantities ready to go is a risk that RM has openly spoken of over the course of the last 6 months. They won't be caught with their pants down on that one.
