Wonder where MXCP and CTP will finish the week!

I have been harping on about 160 for a while now. The fact we tested it and recovered is a strong signal this is going up now.

Wonder if both will rise of the back of the press coverage.

Not writing COMS off, hold shares in COMS, MXCP and CTP. Just thought it was unlikely. Unless it was their smart homes part and it was to be sold to CTP via MXCP. Still think it is unlikely though. Been wrong before though.

It is a buy, I am not sweating a little downward motion, I believe we will close above 160 or at 160 and it should rise going forward. I am only sharing my thoughts though. Everybody is responsible for their own choices. I suggested last night that the misses watches today to see what happens and she said she would rather not have to think about it and will reassess at the end of summer. This is a tiny part of my PF and with a buy is currently 5p down, so maybe coming at it from a different angle to you. I wish you luck mate but if you are convinced it is being manipulated then why hold for a 60p drop.

could be for another CTP acquisition? I see speculation of buying from COMS but think thats unfounded, and more likely to be CTP. Anyone any thoughts or am I letting my imagination run away with me..

I still think this will be fine. Obviously make your own choices but I am holding.

background and the price is being held until the buyer is done, who knows speculation on my part. I wouldn't sweat the little fluctuations too much, time and 160 holding is key. Although we are not moving forward at the pace I would like, we also appear to not be losing either. Range bound which IMO is fine. Keep the faith it should pay off and lots of opportunities to get a nice price while we wait.

Although I thought the RNS was positive it was released badly. Releasing part 2 before 1 would have eliminated the buzz buying and then posting a correction to part 1 is poor. Despite the correct being positive. Having said the results were good, we are progressing and the current price isn't reflecting this. There has been talk recently of cheaper labour hitting the DIY market, but this tends to go through cycles and should balance out. We had a long run of DIY tv and to be honest we needed a break from it. I don't think these issues will hurt HB because of the diversity of stock range. My hunch is that this will return to towards the £2 mark in the coming months. The entire market has been jittery and volume is dropping, but this changes on a dime again. I think we are safe once those jitters are gone we will recover nicely. A possible climb into ex divi date. But as outlined in posts before we are treating this trade as lesson in how to manage trades for the misses. So we are watching closely but remain confident at present. After all we think we have bought in at the bottom 160 ish. If this changes so will our thinking. I wish you all luck in this and your other positions. We would be interested to see where the long term holders think this going as well as those that have taken profit and moved on or are simply sitting on the sidelines watching...

I am reasonably confident this will be ok and remain happy the whole time the price is above 160. We are not in this big, as I said before my misses Lisa opened her first trading account recently. I have been trading/investing for many years. She needed to invest in something that made sense to her and after looking at the company prospects, charts and accounts we believe that this has some legs to run. We base this theory on the charts looking like a potential bottom of 160. It might drop below but a close below would make us reconsider the position. We like the fact Argos is becoming more and more digital, the eventual cost saving of not printing catalogues and much wider market the net provides. We are assuming a good summer and people feeling better about spending their free money will encourage more sales at homebase along with the closing of non profitable locations. I want to stress however she is holding a small amount bought at 166 and because I was monitoring I also bought a small amount at 164. If this trade should not work out the lesson would be to minimise the loss. I would not read too much in to broker forecasts, if they say buy thats good, but actual figures tend to be changed all the time. Go with your instinct on this one and as part of a balanced portfolio this should be ok but do your own research of course. May I ask what your entry was and exit you are hopeful for?
