August could be a pivotal month for Equals. The long running saga of the strategic review must surely come to a conclusion. The shares have drifted over the last few months as the saga continued. It will be interesting to see if the number of trades start to increase over the next few days. Any significant share movement may give an indication that something is happening. Holders of the shares are becoming weary, management must give more information.

I agree a typical over reaction. The growth in Playstack will in the short term alleviate some of the Lloyds loss of revenue. Probably presents a buying opportunity evidenced by the flurry of current activity.

This will be a volatile share today with traders being very active.

At 135p it’s a no from me. This Company is worth more than this. Just look at the progress it’s made over the last 3 years.

Have been tempted to top slice this share recently, however resisted, much to my benefit. It’s surprising how many seasoned investors hold shares and remain positive on the prospects. The tie up with Revolut is seen by those investors as a game changer. The recovery of this share is remarkable and who knows it could test previous highs in the coming months. For now one to hold but sometimes wise to set a step loss in case something radically changes.

Bought and sold these shares over the last 2 years, some at a profit but mainly at a loss. Probably more confident on the long term prospects for some time. Seems to be some consistent buying over the last two days. Anyone have views as to where this share is heading?

I still think there is further to go in CMC. When I have had spare money I have drip fed into the stock. I always however set a stop loss to protect my gains. Currently about to amend my stop loss to 310p. I follow closely Justin Waite on this strategy and have had moderate success. I am however not to sell for a while so will review again in 2 weeks if the price goes higher.

Not unhappy that MDP have decided not to bid. This will present a one time buying opportunity. let’s hope the other potential bidder takes the same course. This is a fantastic Company with great potential. Management must now concentrate on growing the business.

paul scott, graham neary, both stockopedia and ****ney rebel in conversation on vox with paul hill are all very positive on this share. the recent fall back could provide a buying opportunity. update from the company soon around 21 june.

This looks a perfect buying opportunity and as a result of the fall increases the dividend yield.

There is momentum in this share and 300p is likely to be the next target. Whether it holds that level will be interesting. If it does then I can see an increase in buying activitivity.

Franalex you make some very valid points, my experience is that it’s the potential bidders that take the brunt of the adviser fees. With two potential bidders there must be a certain amount of duplication. Diversion of management time is likely be a bigger risk to the growth of Equals going forward if this continues to drag on. Still believe any fall back in the share price presents a buying opportunity.

Unless it is a substantial offer I would prefer to hold and add if the price goes down. It did last month and shares recovered soon after.

Should have read if there is no bid, they should walk away.

This saga has been going on too long. If no bid is announced tomorrow then the shares are likely to fall back. I think if there is bid I think they should just walk away. Could create a great buying opportunity. Watch any activity on the shares today to provide an indicator.

This will likely depress the share price for a while. I suppose the positive is that neither potential bidders have walked away.

In the lead up to annual results you normally expect a bit of movement in the stock, maybe there will be a few late buys. I am however, unless it is less leaky that most Companies, expecting an inline result, there will be no takeover . I hope I am proved wrong but I have my doubts.

I am a recent convert to this share. I took the opportunity to invest the proceeds of a dividend from a FTSE high yielder. Have so far not regretted it. Can only see upside in the current global problems.

I’m with Zebbo. Anything under £1.50 would be a disaster for shareholders. Yesterday another share I hold received a takeover approach and I was slightly disappointed that the offer appears to have been accepted. There is a lot of interest currently in UK small caps, because they are undervalued. If we don’t get at least £1.60 I would rather wait and reap the rewards as the Company grows.
