It could keep going up as the QE never seems to stop and liquidity is realloacted from goverment bonds in to stocks.
Back to SM. Good results yesterday I thought. Cash burn of $9 million in the last 6 months I think. With $38 million in the bank that gives us cash for at least another 2 years and come the middle of 22 I'm thinking we'll be at least break even. It looks a proper investment now but will require further patience. Not a problem for me, after all I've been here since 2013!
Nice find that Terry. Looks a decent sized market for GM over there. Cadillac total sales were approx 214,000 in 2019, with GM sales overall at 3 million. Hopefully super cruise will penetrate quite a few of these vehicles over the coming years!

Safestocks predicted those companies would be customers of SM back in Jan 2017 and he often seems to have his ear to the ground

As per oldfools post I just don't see the logic in GM using anything other than SEE DMS for supercruise. It's been validated in years of testing and in goodness knows how many miles that have been covered in the CT6.
wrong link lol

'Super Cruise is worth waiting for. No automaker on Earth comes close to matching its effectiveness. Drive it on the highway and you’ll never be satisfied with anything less.'
'The CT4-V is a good value. I tested a well-equipped AWD with Brembo front brakes, 18-inch alloy wheels, aero ground effects, touch screen, navigation, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bose audio, heated and ventilated front seats, massaging driver seat, heated steering wheel, head-up display. It stickered at $51,045.
It’s a good car and value, but worth waiting a few months and a few thousand dollars more for a ’21 with Super Cruise.'

This caught my eye. Seems bonkers to me, but what do I know
'As we've covered throughout the year here on Speed Lines, one of the biggest automotive stories of 2020 has been Tesla's stratospheric valuation, something that has risen to incomprehensibly high levels. To recap, Tesla is now "worth" more than American Express and Bank of America, and more than Volkswagen, GM, Honda, Fiat Chrysler and Ford combined. Though the auto industry is beset by flagging sales and production issues amid the pandemic, electric vehicles are the way of the future, and Tesla leads the way there.'

'Spurred by Tesla Inc's success and eager to start profiting from billions spent on autonomous driving research, automakers are accelerating plans to automate routine driving tasks such as cruising on a highway and make them widely available within five years, industry executives said.
Most traditional automakers until recently had resisted allowing drivers to take their hands off the steering wheel for extended periods, concerned about product liability claims. Now, hands-free driving systems offer a new and sorely needed source of profit for automakers and suppliers such as Aptiv Plc , especially when this technology is packaged with other extra-cost options.
"Consumers are willing to pay extra - sometimes a lot of money - for advanced technology and features that are convenience-oriented rather than strictly focused on safety," IHS principal analyst Jeremy Carlson said.
To address concerns about liability, some automakers are installing cameras inside vehicles, along with warning systems, to ensure drivers remain attentive and ready to take over manual control when necessary.'

Also, I see the FCA and PSA will be called Stellantis, post merger. I wasn't sure this merger was actually going to conclude but it appears it has. There must be a few more models for SEE to aim at now

It's strange how their stock is at almost all time highs. RSI at 75 and kind of spiking. Maybe one for the green blobs to short. But as someone once said (keynes I think), markets can stay irrational longer than you can stay solvent.
How come none these incidents seem to stick on teflon Tesla, yet if it were one of the major, long established auto makers their reputations would be massively damaged? (Tesla market cap $278 billion dollars!)
Interesting article from colin/semicast in relation to merc and their new tech

Apols if already posted, but first time I've seen this article from 10th July on the new s class and I found it informative

Terry - that's interesting. lexus are part of Toyota. Is that a DMS in the picture?
https://newatlas.com/automotive/2021-lexus-ls/
It would be great to see them introduce DMS for their semi autonomous cars. The 3 major US OEMs appear firmly in the driving seat in doing this tankfully for us. We know in Europe BMW are striving to do similar. I don't know what functuionality the mercedes s class will provide for it's DMS. Disappointingly, VW look some way behind on this looking at the 2022 Tiguan

I am loking forward to the 13th July. I am thinking some versions of the Bronco will offer hands free driving (incorporating DMS), but lets see.
https://newatlas.com/automotive/ford-previews-bronco/
Safestocks believes FCA will put hands free driving in the Jeep or RAM and the bronco is of course a competitor to these vehicles.
Would the even data recorder footage be provided to DMS suppliers to enhance their algorithims do we think?
It's great that SM are in with the big 3 OEMs in the US. 17 million cars sold in US last year. 2024 is a while off yet, but when it happens SM could really clean up over there.
Let's hope the
