Newboy, it’s just a case if letting nature and the markets do their thing. Unless you want or need to sell then chill. Yes we probably all wish we’d gone cash a few weeks ago on all of our portfolio but who knew... Look at the money wiped off airline stocks over the last few weeks. Most have nearly halved. Some possibly good buys out there divi wise....
Another option would be to phase out tax relief on carbon fuels altogether when submitting accounts. Could be phased in allowing a measured transition. Lots of options. I'd love to see PAYE tax relief for private individuals investing in green tech and home green improvements like solar thermal, PV and battery storage. This would make a real world difference to the emissions and the higher rate tax payers have a real incentive to shell out for a decent sized installation.
He's probably the only fool regularly cashing in on Georges incompetence, obviously GR himself is cashing in every month on his incompetence as well...
Andle, it is especially on a wet runway or short airports like London city and many others. Also wear on undercarriage and brakes. No more from me on the subject. Don't want to bore you all to death even further...
As stated before 38000 commercial aircraft worldwide are not low hanging fruit in tech world. Power stations, factories, ground based transport in all forms emit exponentially more pollution and is easier to address.
While we're at it, the certification of systems may well prove a challenge both in reliability, redundancy and fire suppression and protection. H2, yep non starter. Ammonia with FC, not too sure.
Engineering support at every turnaround is quite often no available. Not like popping in a few duracells. You should have more knowledge of the challenges. Airbus Boeing RR and all the other manufacturers have huge teams of people working on efficiencies and billions are spent for small %age gains. Light prop aircraft maybe(airbus have a proof of concept that flew across the channel). Large jets, not going to happen. JetA1 fuel will come from VLS type waste to energy providers in the future.
Haggis, I fly for a living fella. The fuel at departure is considerably more than landing. the fuel burn reduces massively during the course of flight. Carrying the dead weight of batteries will impact range. The easy jet picture you see there is probably from another project with larger tail mounted fan engines.
It weighs roughly the same as the weight of aviation fuel at full capacity. That alone will probably kill the project off. As well as the need for a 30-45min turnaround.
Guys, its a public BB get used to the fact that you are neither the policeman or sage here. If its against posting rules then report to LSE. Otherwise filter as appropriate. We (hopefully) all wish AFC to prosper and internal squabbles aren't helpful.
