Dumbo, For once you made me smile (at the obvious lack of your mining knowledge).
" 10% NdPr produces 200% more danger and potentially radioactive waste "
There is absolutely NO reason why this would be true and even if it were How many times has it been said that the will be removing the Radionuclides from the concentrate directly at the mine site. A while back you were saying you wanted Saltend to process the remnant 20% RE's from SA; if as you (falsely) claim costs are linear to NdPr content you are asking PRE to take RBW's (dirty ?) leftovers after RBW has extracted 80% of the value from them ????
FYI, The elemental assemblage locked into a crystal is reasonably constant for each mineral ie Monazite (Ce,La,Nd,Th)(PO4,SiO4), Xenotime (Y,Yb,Ce,La,Nd,Sc)(PO,VO,SO)4 etc So any variation in the 'Grade' of an Ore results in a proportional variation of the elements contained. But as I say it is immaterial, other than as another demonstration as to how well named you are.
