FYI, The elemental assemblage locked into a crystal is reasonably constant for each mineral ie Monazite (Ce,La,Nd,Th)(PO4,SiO4), Xenotime (Y,Yb,Ce,La,Nd,Sc)(PO,VO,SO)4 etc So any variation in the 'Grade' of an Ore results in a proportional variation of the elements contained. But as I say it is immaterial, other than as another demonstration as to how well named you are.

There is a scientific paper which mentions U & Th levels from Coola, from memory they are substantially lower than Longonjo, I will see if I can find it again.

Charles, I suspect that there are people higher up the pay scale that are fully aware of this, No point in developing a mine to magnet business with no customers. Given that at least half of China's customers are in UK/EU/USA and that Sintering plants are really not that complicated then I would think it is a fairly safe bet that somebody is already planning to build one. And they should do well given that China is doing all it can to make itself the most unpopular kid on the block !

Hi Tony, Mark was the first "New" Director back in the last of the "Rift Valley" Days, shortly followed by Neil and Paul. Before that RVY were concentrating on Tanzanian Gold mines, under the technical direction of a Non exec Director Mr Aziz, I suspect that the Longonjo Lease was initially picked up by RVY for the Au/Cu deposit on the southern side of the EL. There are reports that Mr Aziz then fell foul of the Tanz' Gov't, hence RVY exiting Tanz' stage Left with a change of direction & Directors.

Longonjo itself goes way back, I have seen Regional exploration Reports going back to 1960's showing good Nd grades but these were not followed up, Then in 2006 an ASX company called CityView picked up the Longonjo area looking for Diamonds. When they then realised that REE's were present they hived it off into to another company "Fortitude" who started drilling in 2007. The Project then changed hands a couple of more time => Sable Minerals 2010 => Black Fire 2012 (who collected some exceptionally high RE Samples 5-7% TREO). The Project then stagnated for a couple of years when Global RE prices crashed in 2013.
