RE: China already into recycling wind turbines1 Dec 2021 06:20
Looks like somebody's Abacus is missing a few balls !
" 21GW in 2021, and the high-performance NdFeB per unit installed capacity is 695kg/MW, equalling to 5,000 mt"
By my reckoning 21,000 x 695kg = 14,595 t
"The installed wind power capacity will reach 82GW by 2025, hence its demand for high-performance NdFeB will grow to 23,000 mt ".
And 82,000 x 695kg = 56,990 t,
Requiring just over 10,000t of new NdPr pa for the next four years ~ Then add on USA, Europe and ROW, and all those EV's etc that will be using that generated electricty.
Clearly if the Chinese can not meet current demand, they will have no hope meeting 2025 numbers.
Pensana / Longonjo & Coola need to go into overdrive and at least another two Saltends need to be built.
