Hogsnipe, it gets worse ~ USA Rare Earths, the owners of Round Top in Texas and the Hitachi plant in North Carolina are planning to supply 50% of US demand. However if you read their latest Press, they need to mine over 7 million tonnes of dirt per annum to produce 2,500t of Rare Earths !!! of which just 250tpa will be NdPr !!!!!!!

Now USA:RE's Magnet plant is capable of producing 2,000t of Magnets p.a; so where are they going to get the balance of the NdPr feed to make it work ? Further it was our friends at Amvest, that provided USA:RE's last Finance raise. I realise it is pure speculation at this stage, but I happen to know of at least one potential source that will soon be capable of filling that supply deficit, question is will they want MRES or NdPrO ? either way LJ or Saltend makes sense and would explain why Amvest are so interested in Pensana.

For those who have not worked it out, Round Top is going to be a very expensive mine to operate at that Strip ratio. But the US market loves it, on Friday TMRC jumped 17% on that Press release ! Makes you think PRE is a little undervalued ?

Hi Gaias, You are correct in that the average EV has 1-1.5kg of magnets, but miss the fact that those magnets only contain about 30-35% NdPr. So the demand is only 300-500gms per motor. At current SMM a marginal cost of about $40-60, The efficiency savings is between 10-20%; so you are spot on the savings in Li batteries alone more than makes up for the extra RE costs.

Sad to say but you are all right. Depends on what motor configuration and what Torque/Load etc characteristics you desire. What nobody denies is that a PM motor is by far the more efficient solution all be it at a slightly increased cost.
Which is where Supply / Demand economics come into play, as long as supply is lower than demand the economics will find the price level that maximises producers profit ~ a situation that is forecast to be the norm for at least the next ten years.

Strange that you agree that LYC will also take a year to tune their Kal' plant when all they are doing there is what Pensana is doing at LJ ie removing the Th & Ce? As to a pilot plant, If I am reading it correctly Saltend is a Pilot plant, all be it a full scale one that will precede further expansion and it will also be taking feed from other mining operations so one would expect there to be a lengthy learning curve, Did you also pick up that PRE is already looking for more real estate :) to expand operations ~ which sort of indicates their confidence that they have all of their questions already answered.

Free energy machines that seem like they should work are always the product of wishful thinking and sloppy science. If you build a machine and underestimate the amount of mass-energy you have to put into the machine to get it going, and overestimate the amount of mass-energy it will output once going, then your calculations predict that mass-energy has been created out of nothing. But this end result came from poor estimations, and not from ground-breaking science. Most people who "feel" like a certain free energy machine should work simply don't grasp how much mass-energy it takes to get the machine going. For instance, magnetic free energy machines are essentially spinning electromagnetic motors. The machine is plugged into an electrical source, which gets the motor's wheel spinning. The machine is then unplugged and the wheel keeps spinning under its own inertia. Then electrical energy is extracted from the spinning wheel. This energy was not created out of nothing. It was put in the wheel by the original electrical power inputted to the motor. The electric power extracted from the wheel in the end will always be less than the electrical power put into the wheel in the first place. Energy is simply converted from electrical to kinetic (the spinning motion of the wheel is a form of energy), and then back to electrical, while some of the energy is converted to waste heat due to friction. When the inventor of a "free energy" or "over unity" machine claims that his invention really creates energy out of nothing, he is either deluding himself or is outright lying to take advantage of others. The self-delusion usually happens because the inventor does not realize the large amount of external energy he has put into his machine to turn it on, which is more than he could ever get out. A straight-forward measurement of all the energy being inputted to his machine and all the energy being outputted would quickly reveal no actual free energy. But doing real science is hard, so countless "inventors" tinker in their garage and think that "pretty spinning wheel" = "free energy" without doing any actual measurements. For those who do take actual measurements, they think they are always just one step behind from reaching over-unity performance; believing that adding just one more complicated gadget to their machine will put them over the top, when in fact they never actually reach a free-energy result.

Pensana have developed a process that drops the Thorium out at the mine, and are happy to share that Patented technology with mines that want to ship their product to Saltend, The ROW will need Twenty new mines by 2030 and I am sure that Pensana will be more than happy to refine their concentrate.

Now please explain what Superconductors have got to do with Magnet motors ? Electricity and Magnetics are not the same ! As to HAS, have a look at their deposit, long skinny and deep ~ it will not be a low cost producer. And yet another furphy from you, What RE miner went Bankrupt ? LYC is still in business and thriving !

Profit = Revenue - Costs
So if something costs $40,000 to produce and you sell it for $130,00 you have made a pre tax profit of $90,000
So if you can make 4,500 units each year, your Gross Profit will be $405Million
Deduct the various Tax's and you get roughly $250Million.

I know it is hard for you to comprehend, especially after you were subjected to Rainbows book-keeping ! but believe me a $1 per share Net profit is great in anybody's books. Even if PRE lists in NY and the Registry is diluted to 500M shares, it will still result in an EPS of $0.50 which when we apply typical US PE ratios will result in a SP of ~ US$25.

Now, if you want us to take you seriously ? next time you make an UNFOUNDED statement, you might want to provide some reasoning behind it, otherwise you are just wasting your time; as EVERYBODY now considers your contributions as nothing but comic relief !

As for gravity, If you ever bothered to look at some of the early plant designs you might have noticed that they were originally looking at Spirals as a first pass concentrator. quite feasible but not on the scale we are now looking at today.

By my reckoning 21,000 x 695kg = 14,595 t

Requiring just over 10,000t of new NdPr pa for the next four years ~ Then add on USA, Europe and ROW, and all those EV's etc that will be using that generated electricty.

Clearly if the Chinese can not meet current demand, they will have no hope meeting 2025 numbers.

Hogsnipe, I find it hard to believe that the Chinese have been using NdPr in their Wind Turbines for that long; Australia are only just beginning to replace the first generation of Turbines which are nearly all the old mechanically geared commutator type. China is trying its utmost to try and dissuade the West from developing RE processing capacity and are floating all sorts of reasons as to why ROW mining is doomed to fail. An interesting observation is that they claim to have shut down their own illegal miners but now need to mine illegally in Myanmar to keep up feedstock. ?

No need to be concerned then as it was not really a gap, What does concern most of us is the blatant manipulation that is going on, FUD to drive the SP down so tight assed accumulators can increase their holdings at the expense of the MC.
