Mad market conditions continue with Brent up around a dollar on yesterdays stock market close - WTI seems a bit more stable after falling heavily yesterday afternoon.

World stock markets are a mess thanks to Trump - trading experts are talking about the Swiss Franc and Canadian Dollar being a safe haven for cash.

At least ENQ should hopefully have a better day.

The new grouping is made up of Saudi and Russia. Together they not only have Saudi oil and influence in the Middle East but they also have Russia's economic, political and millitary might around the world. Look for example at how Russia is extending its influence in Venezula.

I think the main priority for the Saudi's and the Russians is not to be accused of the one thing that they clearly are doing - rigging the market and keeping oil prices high.

The news today that they are to form a new grouping is highly significant and one I think that will underpin the oil price for the foreseeable future.

Its all very strange - Brent has dived but WTI has hardly fallen at all from Friday.

The whole market is well down - presumably on trade war fears ???

This news just in is very relevant to my post earlier about Saudi and Russia getting a firm grip on oil production. If the weekend is anything to go by this new permanent body will effectively set the oil price -

One important question though, going forward - Russia and Saudi seem to be in control of the oil market now with Saudi production and Russian political, economic and military control over many OPEC members - the thing is that this is probably very good news for all oil companies.

Yes, a real stich up but the Saudi's and the Russians - keep the other members of OPEC pegged back and then share out the gains between themselves - very predictable in hindsight though !!!

Lets just hope we get some stability with the oil price now - Brent around $75 for the foreseeable future for be very acceptable.

POO has fallen back again - both WTI and Brent are back at the same level as they were at the start of May.

The way I read it will be new shares issued in two batches at a price already agreed - 15.08p for the first £17 million and 16.45p for an additional £23.2 million.

CWR will be asking shareholders to approve this so I guess the current price movements have nothing to do with the Chinese deal.

I think that the price movements maybe are in anticipation of another deal - maybe to do with the central heating boilers in the UK ????
