I think we are getting the usual knee jerk reaction in the run up to results, especially from the traders. After all results have disappointed for so long now. The shorts off course just exploit the situation.

The fall may continue on Friday, regardless of how good the results are but when the market digests the potential we should continue our steady rise.

Congratulations to anyone who brought in around the 34p mark today - even traders !!!

We have a hot contender for the next load - Navion Scandia is currently moored in Scapa Flow with a sailing time of 08.00 on Sunday.

Also a tanker the KYRAKATINGO is just arriving at Scapa Flo - she looks to be a good candidate for the transfer.

It looks to me that Enquest's expectations for the year that they gave in the March update have been very accurate.

I remember at the time that some of us thought they were rather modest but in hindsight it seems that AK's drawn out commissioning has obviously had an effect.

Looking forward over the next six months or so I think that tanker watching becomes even more important as AK gets up to full production - we should be among the first to know !!!

POO looks set for another move up in the next few days - US Manufacturing figures look set to hit the dollar and dampen hopes of a rise in US interest rates - all good news ahead of Friday's results.

You pay your sub and get - Could the Sirius Minerals share price rise 50% by the end of the year?

That has to be the worst article I have ever read on a financial website.

The best bit about this shower is that they sell their advice by subscription for £149 + per year - laughable !!!

I have managed to average down to around a 70% loss at the moment so I need the SP to rise to around 6.6p to break even..

The value of our holdings may have changed but the prospects for Itaconix havent - we just have to hold for the long term and hope.for the best - the company simply ran out of money

It looks as though the SP has finally reversed from the February rising high - we are probably about 1p under.

So for anyone thinking of buying or topping up, now is a perfect opportunity - we are I think in a dip.

I guess, all said and done, that it will be the debt reduction that defines how the figures are accepted on Friday.

That is probably true but the ignorance in this case might lie deep underground ???

But I see risk everywhere - who knows for example if the bull run will continue into the new year ???

Maybe if we go into a bull market Sirius will be a safe haven - who knows ???

Its much better to spread investment around - some in shares - some in the Bank - some in your house - some in your business - some in land - some in valuables.

The simple fact is that Sirius, all said and done, is still a punt simply because the company isn't creating any income.

Its a very good punt, but even if it was a blue chip like Diageo any investor would be unwise to put all their eggs in one basket - always spread risk.

The London Super Sewer is a much better comparison - they are tunnelling in virgin land at a much deeper depth than any existing tunnels.

For the sewer project they dug a deep wide shaft to lower the TBM's fully assembled to start tunnelling - Sirius don't have that luxury - two of the three have to be assembled underground.

The tunnelling is certainly the most tricky part of the whole construction project. Although the geologists have done all they can to asses the rock and soil formations along the route there are bound to be unforeseen problems with some rock strata and particularly with water.

Also the TBM's have to be lowered down shafts in two places and reassembled below ground - not an easy task.

Its all perfectly achievable but delays could occur.

I think a lot will depend on the cost of the finance Sirius are able to negotiate with the Banks - as long as that is affordable then stage 2 will be all debt.

The main risk now is if the whole project overruns - if that did happen, the cash needed to get things back on track would probably have to come from the shareholders.

We may possibly see the company come back to the shareholders for a cash injection just before production starts to fund the start up and /or maybe fund more facilities on Teesside etc, but that would probably depend on how quickly they anticipated sales taking off.

POO is looking good with Brent just below $78 and WTI around $70, the analysts are now flagging up supply problems ahead of Trumpet as the main driver with regard to POO.

So it looks like a good time for ENQ to produce figures next Friday.

Baker Hughes showed a 4 rig increase if the data is to be believed - maybe they have stared to count the rigs that are being are being used to drill and to return the four barrels of water produced for every one barrel of crude produced..
