As of mid-April 2026, the Ensign 970 automated drilling rig was operating in the Perth Basin of Western Australia.The rig has been completing a short-term contract for Strike Energy and was expected to become available in early-to-mid May 2026.Following this, the rig has been selected by Georgina Energy for its planned drilling program at the Hussar prospect (EP513) in the Officer Basin.
