The issue in negotiation is more to do with the ongoing years and protecting Omi from a low ball take out in the future. Phase 2 negotiations have not broken down, nor do the majors want to walk away. I can't stress that enough. The price here currently is priced to failure and that is not the case. Reading between the lines, it does seem however that majors want options in the new agreement that will allow them to acquire Omi or it's significant assets (Anza) at advantageous terms, if they so wish to do so in the future. This is something that Omi want to protect themselves from. It is in every holders interest to support management in this. Maybe just maybe we've all had a go at management for the failings but they are actually trying to get the best deal for us. Failings over the last few years that I might add are not on Omi's part and are very much I believe by tactical design. Positives are the majors are very keen to keep going and ensure they have mechanisms in place for a take out opportunity, disadvantages being that it is in their interest for our share price to not get too ahead of itself. So I reckon that is where we are and find ourselves at this share price. A double edged sword indeed.
