Hey, welcome aboard the RNO bb. Thanks. Yes, I know exactly what you are saying, which is why I suggested coming over here, no chatter, no hype. When I was out on the bike I was able to think. Thought, a lot of these bb are full of incontinent, yes, I said incontinent fools!. Ooh, that is hard on them perhaps. What I mean is that they p*** themselves in delight when the sp is going up and p*** themselves when it is falling but always the optimist. Always finding reasons why the sp is about to go into orbit or why it is so cheap now that it has fallen by 50%, that it is a real bargain, lets all average down!. Then there are good folks like yourself, who, have reasoned arguments, hard facts. True, I may not like all that you post but at least you make fair points. However, it does seem to me that you struggle at times to follow your head when surrounded by all the noise on the bb. BUT, from what you have posted previously, and I have no reason to disbelieve you, you still seem to make profitable trades a vast majority of the time, so, hey, buddy, keep on the good work.
I really must look into spread betting. What site to you use?. I am of the opinion that the FTSE and DOW are due for another big retreat, probably to around 5000 and 11000 respectively. They are both at the top of their range and surely will fall back bringing a lot of shares down with them. I wouldn't mind spread betting on it, but I am not sure how to go about it. Need to read more into it but am nervous about it.
Re SOU, well, if you have invested enough in the first place then even a small movement will have a large effect on your profit/loss. I couldn't get in early enough yesterday, I was out on the bike (day off Thursday and Friday) and saw your post but by the time I got home the sp was above 2p. Generally, I never like investing in share with such a low sp, but on this occasion from what the indicators were I made the exception. I know you are probably only in for the short term and when you see a profit worth taking you take it and move on....that spells success. What are your thoughts just now?, where do you see the sp going?. Oh, I also invested a small amount in FRR yesterday, again after looking at the indicators on the chart. That too has fallen a little from what I paid at 1.4p. Incidentally, in case you were wondering, I am not trying to follow you in trading, I just value your opinion.
One of the problems I have NOT spread betting is getting hit by commission fees each time I trade. Over time it makes a MASSIVE difference. Without it I would be far better off; one of the attractions to spread betting I guess.
Have looked briefly at SOLO, but staying on the sidelines at present. Have looked at MONI again, but trying to give myself a break from it. If the FTSE and DOW do fall back then I expect MONI to fall back again too.
I am trying to use chart analysis to help my investing but things seem to change so quickly. Are the signs still good for SOU and FRR?. Rega
