Not a good day. Busy working so no chance apart from briefly at mid day to be able to take any action. Had I been off work and have access to the internet I probably would have sold at around 79p,
In my opinion, todays fall is down to a number of reasons. 1. The mining sector has been hit badly generally and SHFT is associated with the sector. 2. Commodity prices have fallen back, therefore the companies will make less profit and MAY cut back on future projects, 3. Lonmins' financial situation is not helping, especially if they need to go to the market to raise further working capital. May raise the question, will Lonmin be able to pay its' debts?.
I am sure there will be a rns either this week, or more likely next week. I expect the interim dividend to be kept at the same level as last year. Within the rns there MAY be news of another contract win, but this is not guaranteed. I would have liked any new contract to have been disclosed as and when it was known and not held back, so I am a little cautious. I have a feeling any news within the rns will be mixed, some good, some disappointing, nothing certain, plenty hopeful. General reaction by the market?............indifferent. Watch out for any share price reaction; will it be worth holding for the dividend if the share price heads South?. Lets hope for a better day tomorrow.
All in my opinion.
