Good evening GG, how are you doing?; having a better day I hope. What about your U.S stocks?, hope they have at least stayed steady.
Line in the sand at 95?, hmm, like to think so. There is nothing necessarily different with this retrace than from the previous one when I felt (and did) I should contact the company about lack of rns in the public domain. Therefore this could be about to turn around; I feel quietly more confident than I have done over the last couple of days (doesn't mean a lot). May be more positive tomorrow with the U.S markets up when I last looked.....hold on.......what have they done, market closed now.........DOW up 106, S&P up 11, that's ok. Doesn't mean GBG will rise of course, but better than had the markets tanked.
Re. SIPP, no, I have no SIPP, I just have an aversion to so called experts who rob us blind only to try and tell us how much better we can see now!. I have a personal pension which I have been paying into for years which if I am lucky will pay me back the same amount each month that I have been paying in. Intend taking it at the age of 60 rather than having to go to 65 so I have the chance of getting more out of it overall than the b***ers have taken from me. Way things are going looks like I will be working beyond 65............unless of course we can hit the biggy with our share investments. Pension is with Aviva (formally Norwich Union) which many years ago, before the Dead Sea reported sick I use to work for!. 10 years ago after a minor heart attack I had whilst out running I rang them about the critical illness policy I had asking when it kicked in to pay the premiums and I was told 6 months!!!!, and oh.........did I know I was going to have a heart attack?!. Words fail me........I disliked them then........I still do....... Personally, I can tell you that you are doing exactly the right thing trying to get your pension sorted. It has been said that for every 5 years you wait you have to double your premium to get the same return. Good luck with that one. As for you not getting any younger, well, hey, come on......enjoy your youth......."life is like a toilet roll, the nearer the end you get, the faster it goes!".
Incidentally, out of interest (for all), I have noticed that when LSE give day low and highs, they are not referring to the share price but the lowest and highest price traded at. Did you know that?, I didn't. Just worked it out. So, not all is what it seems.
Regards
