Good evening folks. Well, having looked at other possible investment opportunities over the past couple of days, I have come back to GBG and looked again at their news, fundamentals (over last 5 years) and RNS and have come to the conclusion that there are very few companies out there which come close to GBG record. I am itching to re-invest some of the funds from my sale of GBO last week and may well top up a little here. I am also considering investing in JNY (has been on my watchlist/radar on and off for some months) + top up RMG. Interested to know others thoughts. Regards CM

As Annabelle is away on holiday, I am responding in her place. As previously indicated, the release of an RNS is governed by the rules of our AIM listing. Whilst we may consider that news about the company may be greeted positively, it is more difficult to assess what impact it would have on the share price if an announcement is not supported by any metrics that analysts and investors expect to see with such announcements. In the situation with Huaxia CRIF, we would not be able to support the RNS announcement with any further detail if questioned by shareholders (i.e. how much additional revenue/profit would GB Group expect to see in the short-to-medium term for instance). This in turn could be viewed unfavourably by the market which may in turn have a negative impact on the share price. I trust that you also appreciate that we take advice in relation to any announcement that we make and we must, as an AIM company, heed that advice when given. In respect of future announcements, as the company progresses we will of course be making further RNS releases, subject to the qualifications regarding content. We will also continue to make marketing releases through our website and trade press on other matters relating to the company’s developments. I empathise with your wish for there to be news that positively affects the share price, however, we are constrained to act in the interests of all shareholders and also to operate in accordance with the rules of our AIM listing. Thank you RW for your post. You know, it is hard at times NOT to re-invest in a share that has done us well previously and on the basis that others have re-invested. It can feel like we are being left behind by our friends and want to shout "wait for me!". We have to walk our own walk even if at times that can seem like a lonely walk. I know I have to make my own decisions rather than rely on others. Sometimes I wonder about my investment maturity!. But, investment, certainly for me, is all about risk and our risk appetite which for one investor will be very different to another depending on our own circumstances and dare I say age!. Hello BT. Thanks for your post. Good to see the sp pick up again. I appreciate your wise words re GBO and shorting. Unlike you I have not experienced aggressive short selling previously so I was in a bit of a quandry as to what to do. I decided to sell out to keep profits because I couldn't have taken seeing it all disappear. I am not in a financial position just to write off profits like that; I haven't the nerves. It has left me battered and bruised and my confidence has taken a real battering if not shot to pieces so it may be best for me to take a step back right now. Very interesting to read that you have been a fd with a number of companies. We just don't know anyones background do we?. Knowing a little about your background just gives me more respect and confidence for and in you and your opinions. Hope you enjoy your later mornings and your cup of tea; good for you. Keep in touch. Good evening LM. Thank you for your kind comments, they are very much appreciated. Sorry I haven't replied earlier. I was away last night and only just picked up on your post after returning from training with the mountain rescue search dogs out on the fells in the dark. Additionally, I have just lost completely the reply I was posting to you a moment ago by pushing the wrong key!. Nevermind, I will try and keep this shorter. I know you will DYOR on GBG. You are an excellent poster and your input is greatly appreciated. No hype, no ramping, just good well thought out contributions. What I would recommend strongly is you visit the GBG website and read their news items. A majority of the news on their site is not released by RNS so you will miss a great deal otherwise. I challenged the company last year by e-mail why they didn't release more news by RNS since it would positively affect the share price. Their reply was that they didn't want to release anything to the market which they couldn't give an idea as to how it would affect their results because that may give false hope and expectations which if they were not then met would adversely affect the share price (or words to that effect). I expect somewhere I still have their reply should you want me to post it here). What I like about GBG is it is a share I feel I can rest with (hopefully not tempting fate). The share price MAY be a little on the high price right now looking at the PE and PEG, but I believe this will be rebalanced after the next set of results. I don't expect the share price to rocket here, but I am happy about that. Regarding GBO; well, I have been following the share price all day, looking for a possible re-entry point. I missed it this morning before going out and was waiting for a retrace this afternoon which did not happen to the extent that I was expecting. In truth, it may be time for me just to move on. I have felt pretty beaten up over the last 2 weeks, certainly mentally. I'm far from sure I can cope with more stress even if the share price does go higher. It is easy to believe the worst is over for GBO and it may well be; but with that scum bag Evil Knevil again shorting I would not be surprised if there will another retrace. I have hesitated in re-investing not wanting to be caught in a bull trap. I was looking for a period of consolidation not a sharp rise again, so was caught out. I think it would be wise to be cautious on GBO; although possibly cautiously optimistic. Unfortunately I have been caught out by a growth company over extending itself in the past when all looked so rosey so once bitten twice shy. RNS not news to us; it was released internally on 22 October, but nice to see it released generally and for it to help the sp up 2p. Wonder why GBG decided to release this one over all the other internal releases. No complaints and thank you GBG. C8 - we are indeed little fish. Unfortunately there are some sharks out there. Sitting on the sidelines for the time being with GBO; awaiting confirmation of a change in trend, but not sure I will re-invest. If I do then I very much doubt I will post on that board again. Hello PP. Very brief note in todays Times newspaper about Netcall. It said "...whispers of a contract in another NHS Trust would be unveiled imminently.......". Hmm, watch this space; but even with an announcement, don't expect a spectacular rise; it isn't NETs way. "We all need large amounts of money now and again"; too true, preferably NOW and AGAIN!!!. Good evening PingPong. Yes, those share sales would appear to be Henrik selling. Hmm, I feel a little uneasy that he should sell a majority of his other holdings. Just keep an eye on this. I need to do a little more research. No guarantees in this game (if that is what it is). Need to look back at last RNS and other director/institutional holdings. Regards CM

The final results could have been better, a little disappointing but nothing drastic that I can read. The Chairmans comments in the outlook are key, and I see nothing negative there. Plus the previous RNS was positive. I expected some retrace from the high; I've seen it before when the share price fell by about 10%. As with all shares we need to keep an eye for any major changes to the story, but I remain relatively content at present. Regards CM

Hello BT. Thanks for your post. I have been away for the week and so have found it difficult to reply. I am extremely tired right now having driven back from Kent today and taking 4 hours from Stoke due to traffic. Tried to avoid M6 as much as possible and ended up over near Chester, but no better and hit traffic again on M6 now in dark and rain; nightmare. Life goes on with GBG,, despite the fall back which we expected in truth. However, what has caused me a lot of angst is GBO!. Short sellers have ravaged the share on the back of some say so but some nugget re accounts plus Evil Knevil sounding off. I have never had to deal with short sellers before and have been taken aback by the savageness. I felt uneasy about 3 directors selling a lot of shares at the time of the placement, ESPECIALLY the finance director; never a good sign. However, I felt things were ok fundamentally (on the whole) so stuck with it at least whilst the share was near or over the placing price. However, I have a nasty feeling there is more blood letting to come regardless. So, I have set a stop loss for Monday. No doubt you view the GBO board too. The reason I mention GBO folks is there is a lesson there for all of us. I generally am happy to keep hold of a share until I have had my fill (running profits) or until the story (stock specific) changes. We all need to keep an eye out, which is what I posted on GBO when the share price was around 80p. I should have gone with my head but felt there was more profit there to be had. I believe the GBG story is still good. Hope you haven't been hurt by GBO. Regards CM

Share price is at a year high/all time high. The share price graph looks very tidy and reassuring over 1, 2 and 3 year period. Fundamentals remain good. Would be nice to see this at 50p by year end. Regards CM

Just makes it more expensive to top up!. RMG made a healthy debut today. Managed to get my 227 shares. Will weigh up what to do with them and watch what happens early next week. The 120p seems a little conservative. What do you say about raising that to 150p?, hmm. Ok, lets not be greedy, settle for 140p. I may have to think about selling any Royal Mail shares and investing further in here. This is a heck of a sight less stressful than most other investments, and quieter too. Personally, I have a habit of scouting around for alternative investments rather than looking at what I already have and topping up. Regards CM

Hello C8. GBG seems to have gained its' legs again. Keeps the news quiet. I think I first bought in around 58p, then averaged up 2 or 3 times. Sold most of my shares at around 100p, then bought most back at just under 100p. Nice t be off most radars, no ramping nor raging. Hope your other investments are doing as well as GBG. Hello BT, welcome back, good to hear from you. Hope you had a good break. Been busy I see. GG is a keen gardener I believe and what, with her not living too far away from you maybe you can arrange something between you!. Anyway, don't mention the snow, freezing cold, I'm needing to dig out the cardboard box to go in the corner of my bedroom so I can hibernate for the winter away from the dark mornings and evenings!. Need to hunt down the dogs' blanket to wrap up it. Oh Lord, give me sunshine and warmth; or failing that....., chocolate!. Yes, GBG and GBO doing nicely. You know we tend to have an adversity to invest further in shares we already have a holding in if they are doing well and look around for other opportunities when often the best opportunity is with those very shares to invest further. Recently I invested in COMS, prospects looked good but nowhere near as good as the 2 above. I sold out at a loss and re-invested in INCA, which looked very good, no debt, profits etc. The day after I invested they released a disappointing RNS re interim results and the share price fell by 10% by day end (and further today). That one was down to bad luck and can happen to anyone but seeing no immediate reprieve I sold out of that too! (at a loss). Oh CM!. Dingbat!. At least it is better than those who think they know better than the market and despite the constantly falling share price invest more, averaging down, believing that they are getting an ever better bargain. They even hope the share price will fall further so they can buy even more!. Perhaps I should invest more in GBG.........or just sit on my hands with what the Yanks are playing at right now. BT, you mention MONI. I invested there a long time ago, initially at around 12p I think. Over a year or two I sold, bought back, sold, bought back and sold making a good profit overall, although the last time I took a loss at around 31p. I got a little nervous with the new shares being issued and the market generally at the time plus the promise or indication that MONI would break into profit shortly but never did. Time to move on all be it hard I felt. Good luck if you are still in there. I have registered for shares with Royal Mail, no doubt along with very many others.
