A big positive from the weekend that was was the depth of feeling and belief in what Scancell are trying to achieve, I think I learnt more than I ever have from fellow holders posts and their depth of feelings to what we are trying to achieve, which is not just Scancell but the progress being made in the Oncology field in the last few years.
Money is an important part of suceeding, more companies fail than those that suceed, success is not a given, and funding is we have learnt year on year in not a given. It would be easy to believe from some posts over the weekend that Scancell have no data at all. Lest we forget there are so many patients still alive 6/7 years on after being diagnosed with Stage 3/4 melanoma and given very short prognosis. T hat is the cornerstone of why we are excited about what is to come, it is not just our Science that has taken so long but the progress made in the immunotherapy field that we have adapted into our science that takes so much time.
No I don"t believe that just what we do is a good enough reason to invest, but the data we produced from the SCIB1 mono trial was compelling and I believe there is far more to come. Trading shares is not my strength or choice, unfortunately money is such an important factor, important enough for some to post very distateful posts and spreading a fear factor which may or not exist. One man has validated our thoughts, our weeks of research that many have given, and we still only know a tiny percent of what is happening in the wider world despite always keeping an eye on what is happening in the wider world.
So I make no apologies for posting again! The statement given by Martin Diggle on taking his holding of 16.67%, I believe it is no coincidence he has taken this holding now after years of research, working in our laborities and undergoing due diligence as should be the case. So it not just us who believe we are a great investment prospect, and it iws not just us who cares about cancer and the importance of the war against it, which has scarred so many of us, whether it is personally, the loss of our parents , our brothers and sisters and our friends. To read derisory comments about Scancell upset me, the case of whether we are a great investment is a very different argument .
Martin Diggle, Co-Founder and Portfolio Manager, Vulpes Investment Management, said:
"I am very pleased to be investing in Scancell at this exciting time in the company's evolution. Vulpes has been conducting scientific and commercial due diligence on Scancell for a considerable period of time. We have concluded the company's unique and innovative approach to fighting cancer is compelling and under-appreciated. At Vulpes we are always searching for overlooked companies that have the ability to make significant advances in medical science, with a view to supporting their development over the long term. We believe Scancell fulfil these criteria perfectly."
Night, I will lose no sleep!!
