Mark, a tremendous trade, I recall you were pondering hard over whether to sell or not at the time and I recall suggesting do what your heart tells you, as I had sold 30k at 18.1p, which was good, but I look to do quick trades, one because I am the eternal optimist, I loathe seeing the share price fall and it has taken me 9 years to build up my holding to the current 220k, was once 240k but took some profit for a change for myself, which has been put to very good use.

I guess I have a fear of losing shares I have taken so long to build, and only this year have been trading so those 11 out of 12 winning trades have mostly been targetting around £500 profit hence why I bought back at 16.60, too early I know. Perhaps for me in the early stages of trading it just calms my nerves making my target, regardless of I could have made more, and wait till an opportunity like now to inject more money into the game at 13p and 14.37 with a min target of 20p if I decide to sell at that moment. So many factors involved.

BTW, we did buy Mendy, Silva and Chilwell which has transformed us in recent weeks, remeber none of those players played until the first of our three clean sheets, the forward line is exceptional, just finding the link from clean sheets to scoring goals at the moment but I have no doubt we will. Well done on your trade, takes balls, best I grow some, lol.!!!

I don" think there is Mark, we take our chances and need money to invest. Thats why I just piched up 10k in the market at 14.37 in case excess shares are dard to come by and as we can see today have to pay more in the market to get what we want.

A nice unexpected rise to 14.5/15.5 pits us just 10/15% towards 16/17p a figure many of us found ourselves in profits just a fe w weeks ago.

With news between allocation day the 30th and the recorded AGM on the 9th it won"t take too much with a little good news to see us crack 20p which will be our 3/4th attempt., and get more existing PIs LTH back into profit. Something we all wish them well with.

Most importantly yet again many good posts to consider, and isn"it a pleasure posting on a BB free from cross words, with an injection of humour that has always existed. A pleasure posting here, lomg may it last and I see no reason that it won"t. To tomorrow now, same again will be tremendous, building up nicely to a big blue day and thay route through 20p IMHO

Sorry about that Mark, but we had this last time, I too have trebled my 6,600 allocated to 19,653, hoping to get 50% This time and with 10k bought in the markrt at 14.37 will be happy with another 12.5k at 13p.

Good to see that rise today, it has been building the last few days and we ended on full asks paid and anorger rise seems on the cards tomorrow.

cossie, yes H/L is the same, they take the money, put the total units down, subject to scale back which I am sure is on Friday 30th. If it wasn"t the case that means the OO hasn"t been oversubscribed, which I think it will be, but by not more than the last one

I agree WTP , I believe we are now hearing about failed trials, and hearing less about the Big Pharma trials as this unravels.

The sudden rush for Scancell shares as seen by our Vulpes and Redmile could well for the purpose of timing be because we are gaining scientific backing for our science. Just MO

Mark, are you sure that is includung excess shares, as the last OO when the money was taken it showed all the shares I applied and paid for subject to working out excess shares which I thought was happening on Friday??

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has scrapped a clinical trial of Eli Lilly’s anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibody in hospitalized COVID-19 patients. Investigators stopped enrolling patients in the study after finding LY-CoV555 is unlikely to improve outcomes in the studied patient population.

Earlier this month, the NIH paused enrollment in the clinical trial after the independent data safety monitoring board saw a difference in the clinical status between the cohorts that received LY-CoV555 and placebo. The difference crossed a predefined boundary for safety at Day 5. Yesterday, the board reviewed updated data on the 326 participants, leading it to advise the cessation of the trial.

The NIH said the recommendation was driven by “a low likelihood that the intervention would be of clinical value in this hospitalized patient population.” While safety was the trigger for the pause, the monitoring board saw no significant safety differences in the updated data set.

Exactly what happened in the trial, and whether it has implications for the wider LY-CoV555 program, will become clearer once data are published. The study of LY-CoV555, also known as bamlanivimab, in other patient populations is continuing. Lilly said it remains confident LY-CoV555 may prevent the progression of earlier-stage COVID-19 patients.

Lilly put forward a hypothesis for why LY-CoV555 may be ineffective in hospitalized patients when the NIH paused enrollment earlier this month. Hospitalized patients have been infected for longer, have more severe symptoms and receive different treatments such as Gilead Sciences' remdesivir, which was given in combination with LY-CoV555 to people in the treatment arm of the NIH study.

“For these reasons, hospitalized patients may have less benefit from neutralizing antibodies, which are a supplement to the patients’ own immune system, as they may have developed their own endogenous antibody response and be in a phase of disease characterized by inflammatory responses to virus,” Lilly wrote.

Patients covered by Lilly’s application for emergency use authorization (EUA) have different defining characteristics. Last month, Lilly shared early evidence, based on a small number of patients, that its antibody may reduce the rate of hospitalization in people with mild-to-moderate cases of COVID-19 at the time of treatment. Regeneron is also seeking an EUA for its antibody ****tail on the strength of early evidence REGN-COV2 may reduce viral levels and hospitalization rates in ambulatory patients.

Regeneron is still enrolling hospitalized COVID-19 patients in a study of REGN-COV2. That study is the most advanced ongoing evaluation of anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibodies in hospitalized patients, making it a critical test of whether the modality has a future in the treatment of people with advanced COVID-19.

LL, I didn"t hear where that came from, it sounded as if that is something generally accepted.

Which means, are they saying those who had Covid back in the first wave no longer have immunity?? And trials by Big Pharmas which lead to approval will need boosts every few months?? If that is the case I wonder what value will be attributed to COVIDITY?
