Wasn’t expecting that RNS today. Trading update noted but disappointing news all the same.

Op vacancies down to 311 on the website. That’s a big drop from the 432 we were discussing previously on this thread just one week ago. Either filled then, or the vacancies to be recycled.

432 Ops vacancies currently on the website. Many of the Warehouse jobs with a closing date of tomorrow 30/09. Let’s see next week if they roll off implying they are filled, or roll forward, meaning they haven’t! Overtime could be spanning some of those gaps in warehousing - maybe.

Only 11 Customer Service vacancies though, which would suggest that side of things is mostly staffed up - hopefully to match the level of business DX leadership expect!

Ports - I guess it also depends on the definition and interpretation of the word “opening”.

Does that mean, a depot expected to be fully staffed from the announcement of a depot “opening”. Or does it mean that the depot is officially “opening” but recruitment is fully anticipated by the management as needing to be ongoing before it becomes fully operational.

I guess it doesn’t matter in the sense that the positions have not yet been filled and of course, more speculation!

Well firstly, we don’t know for sure if there is a concern at DX and won’t know unless the company releases news. Other that that, it’s just speculation.

To answer your specific question though, DX have 2 divisions and one of those is Freight. Whether the Government relaxation of rules will help fill any DX vacancies going forward, again we don’t know but it’s good news all the same.
