Let me have a week or so using it and I can give some form of opinion I expect. I do really like the new OMG site though and I think it does cater to an audience that is underserved by other websites out there.
Don't know if anyone caught this tweet.
https://twitter.com/GfinityPLC/status/1408391702126153733?s=19 getting added to Apple news should add some visibility to our websites.
I'll take the middle ground 5.5p
First noticed the company when they did the Rocket League tournaments I think. Bought in a small amount at the beginning just based on it being a 'hot' sector to be honest. Since then the company has changed for the better so invested more. I also have high hopes for the future based on the moves they have been making.
I have watched this company for years and not said anything on the boards however I thought I can bring a unique gamer perspective here that is often not touched upon. Maybe I will find a direct avenue for my views to gfinity but at the moment just was trying to add to the ongoing conversations.
Red bull event has just finished, it was a well put together tournament that was enjoyable to watch, overall I probably watched about 6hrs worth on twitch even though I'm not massively into Street fighter.
I did note though that there was no mention of Gfinity anywhere or even logos on screen or in the studio so slightly disappointed there. The biggest disappointment though is that there doesn't seem to be any coverage of the event on any gfinity websites or their own twitch channel. Which I feel is a massive opportunity lost to generate at least a week's worth of fresh/unique news content related to esports that will bring gamers in and generate revenue, maybe this will change by the morning. Just my thoughts.
Just thought this may be of interest.

E3 is in mid June this is like Christmas for Gamers when all the big names announce their new hardware and Games. With Sony having released the PS5 in November there are rumours of a new VR headset with haptic feedback and better screen tech. Gut feeling is that this is formerly announced in June it could have a release for Christmas or Early next year if supply constraints continue due to covid.
With regards to Asian E-sports I think it's all about the games being played, the Asian audience prefer different games western audiences so they are not going to be as drawn to FIFA, or the V10 league as much. If GFINITY make an effort to work with the game developers/organisers or teams competing in DOTA or League of legends then maybe they can gain traction there, would be good to see a LOL or Dota tourney in the UK that sells out a stadium run by Gfinity. I like the moves they have made with fortnight recently, a big tournament based on this may garner some attention worldwide.
Cheers
I'm a big gamer always have been, listen to 4-5 podcasts a week on the subject and read lotsa websites & have a good sized investment here long term because of the esports aspect and growing online presence. Gfin are now trying to compete with the likes of ign, polygon, gamesradar, Eurogamer for eyeballs of gamers across various websites types as a publisher of gaming content. It's only my opinion but the thing that keeps me coming back to these other sites are the editorial personalities involved and their unique perspective on the gaming/esports industry. I would like to see more from gfin in this regard at the moment I'm not compelled to visit thier websites for thier views on the industry before any of the other sites out there. I think they will be more successful in this if they develope this aspect especially as none of the others really major on esports so they can be unique in this regard. Just my thoughts.
Looks like they are aware of the PR issue, job post looking to beef up PR team.

Personally I like the idea of eMusic Live and if they got some artist on their of interest I would give it ago. At the moment streaming options seem limited to web based so they need to do quite a bit of work to make this streamable via an app to as many devices as simply as possible. Best use case would be main living room smartTV, get some mates around (when we're allowed) and have a few ciders while the gig is on. Interesting that the streams are not available after the gig which will make them unique, hard core fans will not want to miss these, could also be a market to nft the vids and sell at a later date I suppose or gift to those who attended gig.
Any thoughts on eMu tokens (eMusic crypto)? they are selling 500 million of these at 0.39 pence (Not sure if price is intended to fluctuate). Looks like they can be spent on tracks and merch & eventually to help artists crowdfund albums etc. They say these will also be available on the bibox crypto exchange. Link below to the faq page.

Could the Global Technology company be Tencent? This company has many fingers in many pies and has an interest in controlling the whole pipeline of music delivery from label to the various online services that its invested in.
The deal with Kuaishou which is part owned by Tencent could form part of this. Tencent are also looking to make a twitch competitor called Trovo coming out of beta in July which 7dig tech could also be used for as well as many other company's that are under thier umbrella.
Tencent also have a small stake in UMG & WMG so maybe aware of 7dig services this way. Just something to ponder over Sunday breakfast.
