I think your correct the income from the deal is gonna be small if it's a startup so probably not RNS worthy by itself, a mention of it might creep into a larger deal/RNS later on. Potential revenue growth over time should be good though, a bit like some other deals signed with apex etc.
New client announced on LinkedIn yesterday, Nordic fitness service 'Mentra A by SATS'. Another home workout startup by the looks of it.
It may have some impact as microsoft will inherit Acti-blizz own eSports arm and I believe they operate Tespa. They do mainly call of duty, overwatch & wow tournaments. They may decide to leverage these new assets to host thier own Halo/gears of war/forza tournaments. I don't think gfin are currently working with Microsoft. My view is Gfin are heading away from hosting tournaments directly anyway. I can see them becoming more the sky sports or ESPN of eSports and providing the tech/results orientated websites behind the scenes.
I've been really impressed by the F1 eSports pro championship this year, a real notch up on the quality of the show and the racing has also been great and much closer than the real thing, last year I thought there were a lot more careless accidents but the quality of drivers seems good. Looks like they are averaging about 225k viewers via YouTube alone so that's been impressive I think. They still need to do work to put more focus on the teams and thier drivers but overall it's an enjoyable watch for someone that is into both F1 & eSports. Cheers
This comment makes me laugh as I initially invested in 2017 with SP @ 17p thinking the same thing, no doubt this is a better company now and back then I didn't really understand all the stuff I do now, Having taken a few opportunities to average down more than happy to see this one spread its wings. Finally.
Long term I remain optimistic despite the disappointing recent results, a sentiment echoed by the company. It does seem that the delays in new contracts are outside of 7dig control, personally if there were any doubts in achieving EBITDA Positivity I would have tempered my language to avoid what has happened in the last week or so. I've not decided yet whether I want to put any more cash into this one as I have other companies that might offer greater returns in a shorter timeframe. We'll see.
Gfinity now getting involved with Coca-Cola for a Football manager tourny.
https://www.gfinityplc.com/news/gfinity-appointed-as-operator-for-coca-cola-hbc-football-manager-2021-tournament/ seems like they are gonna be a lot busier in the next few months with 2 or three tournament's running concurrently.
Looking at that event it's quite an unusual setup, free tickets or a £4 or £8 payment to support the artist. Plus they are selling tickets to go to the venue in london as a VIP. No doubt they will also sell merch through the channel.
Fingers crossed for tomorrow.
Seems like there gonna make us wait until the last day of the month.
I'm thinking that to be EBITDA positive this year which is what they have said in thier last reports then they need about 9 million in Revenue, so I think end of year's results will reflect that, they might even get to 11 million by year end which could give us a stable SP around 2.5, please take this with the grain of salt as intended and make up you own mind. Cheers
Not much to say to be honest, was just going to let the results do the talking next week. If your gonna put 5k in you must be feeling pretty positive about the company. I've been topping up on the lows, I do think this business has now turned around and is working its way to profitability, not sure on the timescale though. You wanna take a stab at the SP in two weeks time, just to relieve the boredom.
Gfinity have just announced a 12 week long Splatoon 2 tournament 'Splatoon 2 Inkfest UK tournament' in collaboration with Nintendo, popular game so should generate some gamer interest. Would love to see some good coverage of this tourny via thier websites, which will generate unique content. Looks like the official tournament website will be hosted by gfinity, good move I reckon.
Rainbowsix and FIFA are good, I play them myself. Often the best eSports games offer a spin on traditional sports, it's probably why rocket league (football with cars) is so successful, the ruleset is simple to understand. If we ignore the games though in terms of eSports where do we see gfinity in years to come. What's the endgame here, I think gfin are currently after the gamers that follow or play the games over the tournament's themselves this way they still have an interest in each event even if they are not involved directly.
Gfin will never be alone in the eSports space and there are many forms of competition out there, I currently see the biggest upcoming similar competitor as eSports engine, they have recently signed up the halo championships/US soccer league, they hosted the Fortnite world cup, with 2.5 million viewers and have regular events in partnership with Twitch. They are very similar to gfin (this may be due to having ex gfin employees on board) allbeit they are not as diversified as gfin currently is and they do not have thier own content like the V10 r league that gfin does. When it comes to eSports I'm asking myself what is the next big game that people will want to watch. Halo, Valorant, Quake champions, Brawlhalla to name a few.
Really like the article Stampee, it shows that 7dig are in the right place at the right time, as technology has evolved a streaming has become more prevalent people are listening through more devices and types of services.
I started investing in 2018 and I bought in here in 2019, it's been a bit of a rollercoaster ride (probably bought in too early if I'm honest, still learning the ropes) but I feel like the company is gaining traction in the marketplace, the technical analysis is looking positive with a series of higher lows & RSI in the sweet spot, just need the right results at the end of the month and we could be looking at a strong end to the year.
Been looking into whether Gfinity are likely to be involved with the Halo Championship series when the new game arrives in December (they have been involved previously). At the moment it looks unlikely as eSports engine (ex gfin employees onboard) have picked up the European rights to produce content. I may be wrong or missing something, not hopeful that GFIN will be working on this with 343/Microsoft come Christmas time. Cheers

Malaysia and Brazil seem to be thier biggest growth markets. US is actually down slightly.
An app I use is saying the 29th of September, it's usually reliable for that sort of thing, so still a few more weeks to wait and see what this company has managed to do so far this year.
I believe it's the end of September.
