In the trading update it also specifically mentioned improved wireless sales which benefited the Taiwan operations. But which one is more likely, the sale of Taiwan operations and sale of the rest of group separately? Or sale of Taiwan’s ops only ? Or thirdly sale off all operations for a one bidder? Or last option no sales whatsoever.
Which option is the most likely outcome?
Which one would shareholders prefer?
What would the share price implications be?
The RNS said regards to Taiwan:
“new handset introductions which benefitted the Group's Taiwan operations.”
Also :
“ The Board is negotiating non-binding offers for the Group as a whole in addition to separate bids for certain other Group assets with a view to maximising shareholder value. The Board is encouraged by the level of interest received and the recognition of the intrinsic value of the Group and its component parts.”
