Well market seemed happy. With interest rates approaching zero, I don't think debt will be an issue. Free cash flow around 5 billion, it's manageable.

I had the gut feeling that Vodafone is a strong company and that it is one for the future. The new normal makes this business even better. Happy to hold from here after buying in on Friday

All the companies previously run by the government have three things in common. 1. Declining share price. 2. Baggage of nasty old boy, this cannot be shaken off. 3. Liabilities that makes the investment case impossible. The others like royal mail are just garbage. BT is a bully and can't recover. It's a sell here I'm afraid.

This O2 deal does not threaten Vodafone much. It's more of a headline. The deal completes a year later anyway and much can happen in between. I don't think any acquisitions are necessary here. BT has, for a few years now, been seen as a declining company, they serve themselves and need to suspend dividend to survive. Vodafone is not an old telecom with such a baggage

Liberty assets remained their in other countries such as the UK. But Germany alone was a big acquisition for Vodafone

I doubt Vodafone will cut dividend.
Couple of reasons for this: firstly, it was cut last year by 40%, secondly, being a telecom there is no urgent need or cash flow problems to force a cut. Pension funds and such will not accept such a cut when the company is likely doing ok. We will see on Wednesday!

IG index giving fair price compared to Halifax.
My average is around 18p so very happy but still hold quite a few
