I ducked out of SMT in march after the big drop on Feb 15th, down nearly 28 % and most of my profit. Stayed away from tech stocks till now. I am looking for the right time to buy into this fund, but not sure how to time this ? I will be in for a while but not 10 years, looking for gains in months not years.
xwave10 - I did not instruct him to take my advice nor did i give any - i merely shared my opinions and thoughts on lloyds. If Lloyds falls, I would not expect him to send me money either !
If you would prefer, i will point out that my comments are 'for entertainment purposes only' ...........enjoy and i won't be posting again as I am not an ex Lloyds investor and will be looking for growth and excitement elsewhere for now.
But i wish you well - just look out for that housing and mortgage crash and huge increase in unemployment round the corner.
ken10 - please read what i said - i said i had made some money but that it had been going backwards, my average had been around 43-45 I think. I had bought in several tranches - my total yesterday was 803,383 shares.......I have now sold all except £100k worth, but sold all of my barclays and not sure how long i will hold the remaining stock.
Paultheman - you deserved a better answer than most received here. Some on here are very invested in this share for years and get very upset at any negativity at all - I bought a large amount a few months ago, over 800,000 shares and am now holding a very small profit and only see it going backwards. i have reduced my holding this morning by a significant amount in this and barclays, there are other opportunities out there and some safer if thats what you are looking for. I follow the housing market very closely and the first signs of slow down will cause a real reset of Lloyds that might take a long time to recover from and I don't want to be holding this stock that long.
Hi,
I would appreciate the experience on here, to recommend a useful share tracking app or website.
I have tried Webull, but can't load up my UK shares on its watchlists for some reason.
I have a range of shares in the US,UK and Asia and would like to be able to track and visualise them all on the one tracking system.
Any suggestions welcome.
ps - free is good, but happy to pay for a good one
many thanks
