Legal action aside, promises of decent results to be announced in the next couple of weeks have been made today. Looking forward to perusing them and watching some price action into the 7-8p range.

One of the key issues is that Goldplat always touted itself as debt-free and dividend paying. When it stopped paying dividend after running in to operational difficulties, its attraction diminished. The price of gold is rising again and mining activity should increase with it. The amount of used mill linings, mining materials and waste requiring processing should also increase so the outlook is good for that part of the business. Then of course there is Kilimapesa which is fast becoming a valuable new I ncome stream. So overall the prospects of a return to dividend paying look hopeful and with it the attractions of Goldplat shares which are offering a great entry point at the moment.

Yes, generally well pleased with progress. Shows we can make decent money at relatively modest gold prices. Bodes well for the future!

Wonder if the new processing plant has been successfully commissioned at the end of June? Could do with a monthly operational update in the absence of other news?

Good to see the progress being made, outlined in the RNS. Have waited years for some good news on K and hopefully Goldplat can now achieve the results promised from this mine.

Yes I missed it entirely I usually get an email from St Brides but nothing this time! Haven't been through it in great detail but some of the Q3 figures look to be encouraging. I am finding GDP quite hard to read with its many income sources but I guess diversity is healthy. Surprisingly seems to be business as usual with Rand Refinery?

Disappointing outcome as described in the RNS. Legal action seldom benefits anyone other than the lawyers and this isn't something you can take to the small claims court. Just when things appeared to be going well! Difficult to see how this dispute can now be ring-fenced from the general run of business with Rand?

I shared that pain too but things appear to be looking up! I am in profit now for the first time in a long while but rather than selling into the rise I feel there is much to hold for. The gold price appears to be recovering; the Rand refinery dispute should be nearing a conclusion; Kilimapesa is being developed at last and we have a bonus reserve of recently produced gold still to sell. Given the daily rises over the last week, I can also see 10p being overhauled soon. GDP remains a hold for me.

Overall gold production in the half year rose to 21,317 oz from 17,457 oz but gold sales fell year-on-year to 16,653 oz from 17,875. Material was held back in Ghana pending the renewal of the gold licence. If that material is now released for sale we could be looking at maybe 4,500 oz bonus sales next quarter? Around £4.5m at current prices?

For McDonnell Douglas read Lockheed Martin! Was a bit jet-lagged when I wrote the last post. Price for CCN back up 6.5% today so damage is largely undone!

Agree I could have been luckier with the timing -all defence electronics stocks have been marked down following the McDonnel Douglas warning but I don't worry about short term movements, I'm in for years especially with dividends being paid and hungry US companies looking to gobble up niche players. Take for example e2V Technologies just 30 miles down the road in Chelmsford, currently under offer from US-based Teledyne. Big market potential for tens of thousands of unmanned vehicle platforms -land, sea and air, will require rugged, reliable, electronic boards to the VITA standard that CCN specialise in. Big opportunities here!

.... Having met CEO and marketing manager at Embedded Tech Trends conference. Gave a very confident technical presentation which makes me feel my investment is in safe hands. Great company with good cash flow, no debt and paying a dividend. Sterling weakness should boost earnings this year and next. Glad to be on board!

This morning's news was a surprise to almost everyone I believe but it is a good if not exceptional price. Glad I held on to my shares and it's nice to see a 46% uptick in my portfolio but can't help feeling sad that another independent British high technology company with a proud history will fall into foreign ownership.

"Looking to refinance the group during the course of the year". Wonder what form that will take and what the impact of that will be?

Reasonable interview with developing opportunities in South America highlighted. Next news will be annual results on Sept 26th hopefully confirming much improved results.

Good to see the JV with Ashanti has been consummated and the future of the Anumso project secured albeit with some break clauses. The value to Goldplat is no doubt some way down the line when production commences, but it should hopefully stem the losses that have been incurred while the project was in limbo. Reducing losses is always good for the overall profitability, so together with the improvements in material processed and gold in the early stages of a bull market, the future is beginning to look much more interesting for Goldplat.

Had a little top-up this morning - don't think the potential for profit improvement has registered with many following the recent update?
