I trust the acquisition will be in GDP shares, not cash?

Kisbey-Green and Visagie both will be executive directors." Does anyone know anything about G K-G? As IV is staying the only certainty is that we will have a higher wages bill!

Sold £17k holding at 90% profit - not bad at all! Hoping to repeat the experience over the next few years. Management aiming to double profits over 5 years by organic growth and acquisition. Lots of great press recently regarding the imaging side of the business who made the cameras for the Rosetta mission. All images of the comet from e2v camera sensors! Plenty of value here and dividends!

From the operational update: "Goldplat is accelerating discussions with potential joint venture partners to advance the development of KPG, with a view to identifying a joint venture partner before the end of 2014. KPG has not required new funds from Goldplat during Q1 2015, as increases in gold production have enabled it to operate within its existing cash resources." Not many discussion days left in 2014! Expecting to hear soon! Todays tick-up in the SP may be a sign? ps Any tick up in the gold price does help Kilimapesa directly so its good to see it heading back up to $1200 this afternoon.

Why not? There are buyers out there mopping up stragglers like CRND. I have a relatively holding there and its good to be back in profit again. Wish I could say the same for GDP! We desperately need some good news.

Following the results I see that Investors Chronicle have issued a "buy" rating. Not surprising with new MD, Steve Blair promising to double turnover and profits by 2020. He appears to be having a very positive effect on investor confidence, helping to explain the essence of e2V as "Bringing technology to life" with its well-diversified portfolio of high technology products. He certainly seems to have been effective in bringing e2V's share price to life since his appointment!

This company should not be trading to process ore at a loss. The only reason I can see that it continues to trade is to pay the directors' salaries.I will not stay here and lose my entire stake - I would be too embarassed to admit how much I have lost already! I sold what remains just before the bell. Good luck to those that remain!

When I bought into AVM I was an optimist. Experience taught me it was better to be a pessimist. I was still sold short so now I'm a cynic and unlikely to be dissappointed by anything that emerges . Expecting the usual Cather blather with new problems to add to the catalogue of disasters, more excuses etc. Waiting for him to play the "unrest in Burkino Faso card" to justify lower than expected production figures!

pps Looking at the rest of the mining sector, we are probably just seeing the end of the chain reaction of Japanese QE announcement/ Yen falls//Dollar rises/gold price falls/ gold miners SP falls?

Not sure whether the drop in SP is due to the rioting in Burkina Faso or a negative reaction to the RNS or both? Would have thought that the fact that Kilimapesa was self-sufficient would be very positive? A note to say "business as usual" in BF or otherwise might have been helpful?

Meant to post that I sold out on 2nd September after holding since May 2013 as I was unhappy about the Diamond Wood situation. Just checked back tonight to see that the price has bombed since then. Was sorry to go but in hindsight glad I took my profits when I did!

Would like to attend but in Madeira at the moment! Never underestimate Goldplat's ability to uncover more problems just when you thought things couldn't get worse! Look forward to being advised to the contrary !
