It’s a pity that the MdB lithium mine isn’t registered as some sort of industrial site of historical interest. Mining and the subsistence economy seem to have lived hand in hand for many years so why not into the future even if mining ramps up in scale?

I doubt it. Investors can easily distinguish between the two mining jurisdictions. As I said MdB looks shiny green in comparison.

Lovely area - we love Dedham and the surroundings. I pre-ordered the new VW ID but they have been deathly silent on delivery. I might favour the Tesla 3 - have seen a few about and they look good although not pulse-raising. Haven’t been able to get near Chameleon until recently due to lockdown but with my retirement from paid employment due on Thursday it is probably offers the best opportunity to have fun while social distancing presently!

I don’t think there will be any doubt that lithium mining will be anything other than his number one priority and that investment in a local processing capability or even battery plant will be high on the agenda.

Thanks for picking up and correcting my DFS slip IB. I was rather getting ahead of myself there ...... but I wonder how much sand will have passed through the timer for that to appear? In general I feel Rio are in no hurry for Moz supply hence SAV are left alone to progress the PFS at their own pace. Once Rio is hungry for a Richards Bay top-up , there will be pressure on SAV to complete all studies pronto, otherwise they will just exercise their option to buy SAV out.

The Board have not covered themselves in glory by filling their boots before private investors had a chance to react. I understand that speed may have been considered essential but the decent thing would have been for Directors to step aside and not take advantage of their prior knowledge of the offer to jump the queue.
Yes I can now buy more at or near the offer price but that’s just how things have turned out. In practice I will not buy more if and until there is a significant discount on the offer price. Don’t normally indulge in “up yours” but that’s just how I feel at the moment!

The RNS had a time stamp of 6:20 pm announcing an offer to subscribe that was open from 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm effectively giving us 2hrs 40 mins to proceed assuming you read it immediately which I imagine few would at that time of day? Hardly a level playing field? I am suspicious of any offer to part with my cash which is presented in a manner that seems to rely on a FOMO factor to provoke knee-jerk investment, so declined to proceed. I may indeed have missed out - we will see how prices go tomorrow but I am not at all impressed by these fundraising methods.

so the market seems healthy. Our offtake deal is effectively done ( with partner Rio Tinto) -seems like we just need some encouragement from them to start production planning?

Huge effort on behalf of SAV to get the EIA and MP out. Ball is finally in the court of Portugal’s administration. More work to do locally with stakeholders then the not insignificant task of completing the DFS. Who said mining was easy? Take note that every would be lithium miner in Portugal or elsewhere has to go through the same process and in Portugal, auctions for other concessions have yet to restart. We are well ahead of the local competition! Would be partners should take note!
