Colin. The schoolboy question of why don't the savvy locals want it was mooted when the Rosa debacle was announced. It is just so obvious a question.

The cynic in me suspects they may have had sight of a draft RNS. If not, they were seriously lucky to get out at 0.13. Probably at a thumping loss though.

That was just a long-winded way of saying bust. Is anybody in the slightest bit surprised at this news? I can't imagine the share won't be suspended by the close of play today.

I suspect the Directors attempting to disapply pre-emption rights demonstrates the disdain with which they hold the major shareholders. They were well warned about the shoeing they are going to get. Which part of the Rosa debacle made them think this BoD were good for further investment? The game is up and no amount of ramping is going to get them their money back. No doubt they will try but this share is now toxic. The poor holders of RRR will have to make up the lifestyle shortfall.

Unless I am terribly mistaken amongst the Omega mines are Buffalo Highwall, Hill Creek Highwall, Kilgore Creek Highwall and Louis Lowe Surface Mine. There may well be others. It isn't difficult to get in touch with the mining authorities to get tonnage figures. Perhaps a call to the local pastors will tell us if the mines are active or not!!!! It caught them out last time.

Purplebricks tried a Bellesque RNS this morning and BLAM! The coal numbers, the big white hope, when they come will sink this to oblivion. It is my opinion the venture is an abject failure, like Rosa, and the same questions should be asked again. Why didn't the locals, who know about coal, want it? If it was so good why, was it sold?
