Cy just read your post and agree that Great Britain has lost its ability to lead in many fields whether being In academia or manufacturing as our countries emphasis had been on cost reductions therefore sacrificing excellence.
It’s been stated many times that we place little value on retaining world class industries and having lost coal, ship building, steel , chemicals we now see the death of retail which is supposed to be our saviour as we are a nation now transformed towards services and leisure industries ...this strategic model is now shown to be failing and the only good point being it will reduce the 70% imports that support this sector.
Until we change policy and realise Made in Britain is the only option to create jobs for the 300,000 graduates their are going to be a lot of disappointed young people ..fact even before you add in Brexit effect.

If we feared that oil exploration was getting bad press then today’s announcement that selective power cuts will be needed in future due to increased demand for electric car charging and their being insufficient power generating capacity in UK as new nuclear power stations are cancelled , then the demise of oil has greatly been exaggerated and in my view still has a long term future so let’s collectively through this media prompt positive comments supporting this essential need for oil extraction and onward manufacturing as it creates skilled jobs and that’s what we need now and in future.

Well we have no news on HH-2z well plans but a start with HS2 today...both projects have possible same outcomes with plenty of hype but no long term plan to bring to full completion.
If you reside less than 150 miles from London you may see HS2 by 2040...20 years is that showing a priority ? I don’t think so ,and as for project generating future prosperity for the North someone must have bi focal vision as by then
we the only reason for getting on the train will be to show future generations the Industrial theme parks and museums of what used to be a world class manufacturing centre.
I still await to see the alternative plan as if we endorse working from home the justification for HS2 has no basis and was probably formulated in 2005 on predictions of continuous passenger growth when we know today that these numbers have declined by some 50-70% and may take several years to realign.
I don’t think the project will be completed as it’s a guess at 106 Bn and rising and as the country has effectively maxed out on its credit card some government in future will have to weald the axe.

As we await our investment in UKOG to hopefully at some stage provide some return , we learn that those who try to and facilitate future wealth generation are likely to come under further threat from environmentalists, increased CGT and Corporation taxes.
If you add in protest groups of any persuasion who find corporate business unpalatable in today’s markets then the irony is that the ideology for equality and opportunity will still be further out of reach and create more disparity when you have reduced GDP and still lower investment in social development.
If the UK really wants to create wealth it must start by getting the commuting population back in its commercial centres as most should be able to recognise that if businesses can do without corporate offices and champion remote working it cannot be too long before these jobs are outsourced overseas as the precedence will have been set which will only become detrimental to U.K. jobs.
It seems ironic that new kickstart schemes commencing today to encourage employers to take on the under 25s to reduce unemployment could possibly be the same protestors who oppose wealth generation.
In the next month their will be some challenging statistics about employment and that’s before you add in the Covid effect along with Brexit.
In review if inward investment in any sector is continually challenged then the outcomes will for 2020 onwards look very dismal for investors .

Reading reports from European press that the Mediterranean sea area around Cyprus is becoming possibly hostile to more exploration from Turkey and has antagonised surrounding countries , what happens to UKOG investment in Turkey if the onshore exploration becomes embroiled in bigger issues and consumes more money than returns. .I suppose this is just another risk to factor in when supporting this company.

So BJ is prepping the nation for government announcement that mask use is to be extended to all shops and possibly social areas so it will be interesting to see how this is presented and managed if 66 million of us all decide to purchase in next 48 hours.
The question to be answered is where U.K. is going to source these requirements and at what cost to consumers ?
The average boxed cost for 50 disposable masks is any where from £37.50 to £55 so how are a lot of people be able to afford this?
The new mask material manufacturing methods as described by HAYD to prevent and combat micro virus inhalation is an excellent start but can this be made in U.K. for our collective benefit. If this was possible I’m sure the SP would increase exponentially as it would be a world beater let’s hope someone has some vision and makes this happen as most people feel this virus could be with us for some considerable time .

So we have some elements of stimulus package to ease UK out of the deep recession but nothing to assist aerospace or automotive that supports many thousands of highly skilled jobs and has been a valued route towards increasing prosperity. In most areas of UK where you have these business sectors it follows largely that you have hospitality and retail centres close by to service aspiring wants.
I think the government need to look closely on how to differentiate between NEED and WANT so that all efforts provide good returns.
Everybody needs employment or jobs and this then stimulates consumer want for hospitality, travel, and retail outlets but with 8 million furloughed the creation of well paid jobs should be the priority as this current recession is going to impact on all of us till at least 2022 or beyond.

We have today the government putting 2bn into creating jobs, jobs,jobs and yet planning applications in Loxley and Arreton are possibly declined so denying any opportunities to create jobs and wealth. Do these councils work in a parallel universe where they believe the government will just keep finding the money and nobody realises that those who investment in new industries will generate the future tax to fund payback of borrowing.
It’s about time with the relaxing of planning applications announced by government that projects like UKOG are planning should get priority over local self interest.
Exploring for gas/oil in any area required skilled workers is that no what job creation is about.

Two days pass since Loxley/SCC decision to decline application by UKOG and the government makes statement yesterday that to stimulate UK growth they will enable”Biggest change to planning laws since war” and simultaneously announce billion pound support to create employment.
Both these announcements are welcomed by all businesses but one has to ask why SCC council pursue agenda’s that are totally opposed to government directives...do these public bodies not have a duty to look beyond small time objections and look towards assisting the country as a whole to move forward in what are unpresidented times...in overview UK will need jobs, fact.

So currently this pm the planning application / amendments have been voted against and possibly a long review process will instigated but to who’s benefit?
Where are visionaries in public office who can look at current GDP collapse and see that the nation needs to have less red tape to encourage business development of any sector to create long term sustainable employment .
In any area within UK or IOW you have pockets of social deprivation and if UKOG offset some of its profits and contributions from its operations it would negate the negatives and enable local communities to benefit greatly along with business needs.
Come on you committees remove the dogma and support people and business who wish to create wealth , or are we becoming so engrained with social welfare their is no need to create employment. Where are the people who have vision to create a better society?

Today’s share trades of 636 by 12.30 pm look very promising and are generally 40% up on normal day trades at midday with 300k + today over sells something worthwhile must be going to happen, let’s hope so or was it the BoE statement that UK would have been insolvent with monetary intervention. Like most need 1-1.5 p to put meat on bone.

Just seen the distress flares and the lifeboat launched...hopefully all will be saved even our LTH.

With the announcement today that UK unemployment increased by 856,000 in a month the need to develop our own energy sector to create employment and wealth could not be more important and should be prioritised as a long term sustainable solution to these issues.
Of course when issued with bad news we are also informed today that Xmas trees will be 2.5% cheaper next year when tariffs removed and that’s the good news.!!

I like most have followed these posts for a long time and have been impressed by some of the contributions and insights into this industrial sector.
But recently a lot of comments have only displayed continual negativity about UKOG past and future activities.
In my opinion this company has a least demonstrated it is prepared to have a go , all be it probably not at the pace some of us would like but overall progress is being made.
With those only wanting and predicting a death spiral then what will take its place ? Will they support new start ups with no history .
When investing in shares you must have a vision of what could be achieved If your not happy please leave.

It’s good to see some upward movement in SP and I think it would have been better still in normal times but constrained some by economic indicators from BoE.
I’m all for statistics but BoE making comparisons between 1706 economic performance and today seems to me to be somewhat of a distraction as the population then was 6.1 million compared to our current population of 66 million and a very different business and industrial climate.
As we are adults it would have been better to state they expect some very turbulent times as most of us would confirm that we expect a very hard landing.
Just hold onto your investments as things have to be better in 2021.

With the major aerospace companies in both USA and UK announcing today that they are cutting production and build rates for new aircraft in this year and possibly next the need for whisper ceramics made by Hayd USA to machine heat resistant materials found in modern jet engines will definitely be impacted and will show in lower demand and sales which in my opinion will only increase from mid 2021.
The application for graphene in carbon composite parts to replace copper mesh as lightning conductors on aircraft is very valid but again with 95% of aircraft grounded for next 2-3 months and new build slowing it is in my opinion going to put back this introduction for at least 18 -24 months as companies try and micro manage costs.
Overall the innovative Hayd materials are showing what is possible in this field of materials technology and I hope the sales will develop quicker to assist SP but being a LTH I’m looking towards mid 2021 before this current situation improves.

I wrote yesterday afternoon that Reneuron needed to break its silence to get its message across to it’s potential markets and investors and here we are this morning with a comprehensive update.... it could be coincidental or do the BOD read our comments.

With everyTV news item showing new and innovative Bio medical companies showing possible developments and obviously getting some good and ongoing publicity for their respective actions on this virus, how is it or have I missed Reneuron even being mentioned?
A company can have the best researchers and be well motivated but if the message is not conveyed to the public they can only assume other companies are leading in this science.
Come on Reneuron break this silence and tell the world wide audience what you can offer...is this so unreasonable when many of us have invested towards this goal.

It’s interesting to review the opinions on this page as they are so diverse.
I think when this national emergency is over and I don’t think it will be quickly resolved the UK government should reflect on how dependent we have been on other countries assisting our needs in all sectors of health, food, and manufacturing and actively look to redress and source from within.
It has to be said that we can’t blame Brexit for our dilemma it’s been a generation of not having any foresight to look after our own interests so I see Ukog as being well placed to assist recovery and make future provision for any other emergencies, oil is and will be a resource that many other countries will envy us , so let’s remain positive about this oil field is developed and allow it to contribute to our much needed GFP in future.
