This is my belief brybags. The bids went in long ago. They have given themselves space and time now to devote to the possible buyout, in my opinion.

And still hold the view that no party wants to walk away from these discussions without an acceptable deal. NCCL are junior miner/explorer that needs large investment, and so if clearly needing the deal (especially after SEP); and GE-CMEC need this project to enable to their business, especially for trying times for GE (especially after Alstom and other challenges in the last few years)..

We may well get an update this week and though we're talking about such a possibility, it will probably catch a lot of people out :-) Continue to hold believing that since we haven't heard otherwise, we must therefore remain still involved in productive discussions. Good luck folks.

The current SP is partly disappointing and partly not. While I like the idea of the SP being considerably higher - for obvious reasons - after some thought, I also realise that I really should be holding more of these. We may be comparable in market cap to pre-dilution, but since then we've had RINs accreditation and we have money in the bank. In other words, out tech is commercially viable, with a substantial market awaiting; and that capital can now be spent with in mind that regulatory and commercial validation. It's deployment will be value accretive, with risk now very significantly reduced. When I continue to think about it, I realise how it just keeps getting better as an investment. These levels are now are unparalleled gift with RINs accreditation. Few like it on AIM.

Have to reiterate, my own research and that of others leaves me in no doubt that GE really do want this project. Nobody wants to walk away without an acceptable deal. These negotiations are complex but i remain of the belief that all parties will come to acceptable agreements.

Excellent post Laxey! Your general description/question around the kind of process they may be involved provides illustration of the complexity of the negotiations. As I tried to explain but not so well, it's difficult to know what kind of update we'd be getting at this stage if the process had not reached a sufficient point of substance. The process we can guess is extremely fluid. Indeed, when I contacted them about 10 days ago, they said they were still in the process. They still could be and even if things are going brilliantly, it could be that there's nothing yet they can report , unless they are able to 'We're still in a constructive, productive process.' You make a great point about the way NCCL were approached by GE-CMEC. GE-CMEC have a very clear plan Ncondezi! :-) Regarding the tweet, it would certainly be daft tweeting that (about other projects successfully securing funding etc) if they knew they were not in a good place.themselves. When I look at it, I remain extremely confident nobody wants to walk away from the project. We need to move it on and GE certainly need it. Thinking about it, I would rather NCCL/Hanno were allowed to get on with it rather than be rushed into getting a holding update out (as much as I still want to see an RNS that says 'We're doing great!').

With RINs Accreditation, this tech and these processes are worth £billions. We should think about why Abramovich owns 25% and is likely accumulating?! VLS is not typical AIM. No typical AIM company has the likes of Abramovich accumulating. Again, worth ££billions. Still only sinking in with me.

Fair comment Allguesswork. Nothing guaranteed until done deal. From what I can tell, GE do want to be involved in the project. Though they're big fish, they have also faired badly last few years. Their expansion in this sector, bringing their Alstom acquisition more in to play, requires projects like this and seems an extremely plausible situation. The world's not awash with these projects. Becomes even more urgent when you go and spend $10billion on Alstom. If there is an impasse and negotiations fall apart then our SP crashes but we still have the projects. GE stand the chance of losing out on a project worth billions. Whereas we have a crap SP and have to start talking again. I'm of the opinion neither party want to walk away.

Now that RIN accreditation is in place, T/O increasingly likely. The longer it goes on, the costlier it becomes. And T/O has to be taken seriously as a possibility -- we have two significant parties accumulating and the most crucial issue has just been overcome i.e. RIN Accreditation. The whole thing has now opened up.

The longer this goes without news, the more I'm inclined to believe negotiations are progressing constructively and productively, otherwise we would know by now - they would have to tell us. Hoping to add to my holding soon, as funds become available.

I think its very possible we will get an update of some kind as it is a long period since the last RNS (i.e. Dec 27th)

Still here and watching carefully. Intrigued as to when NCCL think an update is necessary and/or appropriate. If things weren't progressing at all, we would know by now. So I wonder how far discussions need to go in order for the company to believe it has something of substance that all parties can agree to that can be put out there to the market. Got to remember that it's not just about NCCL. GE-CMEC have to agree to the content of any RNS given the negotiations, provided they have reached a 'point of substance'.
