@wyndrum, I'd just like to say that your comments are one of the few I do read fully. They are always well constructed, give a sound alternative view of the sp movement, and aren't rude or inflammatory, even in the face of severe criticism.
I hope, for the sake of balance and usefulness to the average PI, that you remain on here and that your posts stop being deleted.
Hi McGurk, yes they were Innova. I know from this BB that the accuracy is poor which is why we've all been doing several tests to overcome that inaccuracy. We've got several boxes of them. Plus the fact that the contact chain is very tight, and known, and linked to a PCR test confirmation. Many tests + identical symptoms + known close contact overcomes any probablilty of misdiagnosis in my opinion. Would you agree?
See my response on another thread. I've got flu-like symptoms. I have done a couple of tests which were negative, and just done another which was positive, which I confirmed with another test. My partner has exactly the same symptoms but has tested negative. We're in the same household as her son who is positive.
I think it's too risky to go. How would you feel if you you find later that it was Covid and you have passed it around.
I was going on a weekend break as it's my birthday in a couple of days. We've had to cancel it all, including seeing my elderly parents.
I have mild symptoms, but I tested because my step-son has just contracted it. I expect my partner who is also double-jabbed has it too, but I think her viral loads are too low to be picked up at the moment
I found this from Susie Dent thus morning and immediately thought of some people on here:
Philodox: (c17th) one who is entirely in love with their own opinion
Mumpsimus: (c16th) one who insists they're right despite clear evidence that they are not
You're welcome :)
I've been watching the posts on here daily since I first invested last year, and I think only now am I starting understand the different types of posters (and this is not meant to be having a go at anyone, just what I see :) ).
Positive Rampers with rose-tinted glasses who just post blue sky comments (aka the wonderful Sujood)
Negative Rampers who hate negative comments and make it clear (feel free to add some names!!). Some of these can be quite vitriolic in their condemnation of some people.
Calm Investors who are into the company but ask genuine questions seeking re-assurance but get shouted down for asking these (aka Wyndrum today)
Scared Investors who want probably don't post a lot but are seriously freaked out by the share price movements and ask questions why the drop, why the rise etc
Derampers - the most hated of all commentators who just seem to get off on arguments or trolling and only appear on a SP fall
Would be interested to know who we think falls into these brackets, or if there are any other groups I haven't spotted.
GLA
Energyshares, that's an awesome piece of research.
When I saw that ridiculous post from ShearClass I thought I won't need to respond, because there'll be some much better, more informed responses than I could come up with. Thanks for fulfilling my expectations!
Hi everyone,
I wondered if anyone had an opinion about what the impact of Covid cough testing would be?
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-54780460
Could it be possible that, if this actually works, and they can actually create an app, it would significantly reduce the market for all these other tests that we're getting so excited about. Just a thought.
