Canadian investment bank Versant Partners has issued a 'buy' recommendation on Discovery Metals (AIM, ASX: DME) with a one-year price target of A$0.85 (approx £0.54) per share. The dual listed mine developer is currently focused on bringing the Boseto copper project into production in Botswana. there is a lot of speculation that DME will get a take off agreement and the other party will take equity in the company, followed by a 50/50 fund raising! also, there will be resource upgreades soon, so lots of news, some dilution, some major mkt cap growth, and SP volitility, but all in all i expect the SP to be near 60p before a retrace and sideways movement, and 120p in 18 months! all guesswork cos i simply dont have the facts, but thats the best i can do right now...

so it took 6 years to negotiate a big enough carrot to build the brasil plant, and they are building phase 2 now to supply offshore africa, so where does that leave the newcastle plant? maybe after the election WSM will try to get a carrot to keep newcastle?

up 13% on asx, nice bfs update, but im now looking towards finance update and what that may contain... i suspect major dilution so am considering selling half my holding soon!

very interesting agenda for agm, note "conclude heads of agreement for project financing and off-take - feb 2010" and "finalisation of BFS - march 2010", very important for DME, and in fact company making INHO, yet hidden in the smallprint! this has got to be within t-20 range now, but has anybody else noticed i wonder?

only another 6 weeks or so until BFS news, so maybe we'll get the T-traders jumping on this soon... but we are already up nearly 400% over the last year!
