I think I remember a well-reasoned post by Andrew that concluded that we only have to increase the Cu equivalent in-ground 4x in order to get to 2M tonnes ( from memory it had to do with increased POC reducing the value of the cut-off from 0.3% to 0.2%?).

This being the case, if we manage to triple the in-ground value due to our drilling programme and the POC/POG continue to increase then that magical 2M tonne figure is well within reach!

All IMO, of course.

It sounded to me like we have only just passed through the central core and that there is therefore a good chance that the will be another 200m+ of drilling before exiting the porphyry - hence the reason Colin said he hoped that we would still be drilling on Wednesday - so that would be over 500m total width - would that make it a monster?

It appears that the market responds much better to CB's interviews than to the RNSs.

I presume that if drilling has stopped or if the core has been hit , or we are heading towards a second core, during the weekend then we will get a 7.00am RNS.
That could be reasonable, good or fantastic news. If there is no news then we could well be heading into "monster " territory. Let"s hope for the best...

I think that, at one time or another, we have all had problems with 3D visualisation of what we have got in the porphyry.

My understanding is that we have a shape not unlike a mobile phone lying on its side at a 45 - 50 degree angle below the ground surface; the length of the phone is at least 1000m and the width is a little over 900m. Drill 1 was angled so as to run left to right just behind the screen prove the phone is 900m wide.
What we are now testing is the depth of the mobile phone.
A section cut across the width of the phone (so a 2D slice horizontally ( left to right) through the screen of the phone) when viewed end-on will be roughly carrot shaped ( a real mobile, when viewed end-on is roughly a long thin rectangle) with the narrow part of the carrot shape near the ground surface and widening at depth.
The mineralisation grades will be highest along the core following the line of the charger port, mic aperture, headphone socket etc on the underside of the mobile phone. The mineralisation will increase in layers(strata) as we drill down through the face of the mobile like the rings of an onion, so once the highest grade core area is reached the grades will then reduce again below the core in the same way as they increased on the way down into the core.

The longer the line of mineralisation then the fatter the mobile phone is at that point .

Reading back on this, I am not sure it helps very much?

So Colin, can you please publish a diagram that makes the whole thing a lot more obvious.

Incidentally, following our debate on here regarding the RNS describing mineralisation as being 'sporadic' up to 340m, but not after, I looked up the word:
sporadic(adj)

recurring in scattered and irregular or unpredictable instances

"a city subjected to sporadic bombing raids"

Antonyms:
continual, unrelenting, repetitive, recurring, perennial, revenant, relentless, running(a), recurrent, insistent, persistent, repeated.

Interesting to note the first antonym in the list...

Good to hear again the part where he said that Bushranger could hark back to the days of SolGold and that we might even have 800m to 1000m of mineralisation, in which case we could well become SolGold 2.

Quite prophetic really as the first drill proved up over 900m of continuous mineralisation spot-on and well played, Colin.

Let's hope the drill bit is still turning tomorrow morning and that we have news of having hit a core ( or two?)...

I just checked again and C B said mineralisation was sporadic before 340m, so last 150m is not sporadic. May not be completely continuous but sounds like it is pretty close.

It said the previous mineralisation was broken, indicating that the next 150m was continuous...

When it does go, I think it will be difficult to keep up, so hopefully a good afternoon for all holders...

150m of continuous mineralisation and still not yet reached the core... sounds good to me!

With the POG seeming to re-find its mojo, the income we get from Guy Fawkes and the amalgamated alluvials should mean we can bring both Eureka and Kalengwa into production as well as complete exploration at Bushranger - all without any further dilution, now that is more than just breadcrumbs...

Now would be a good time to get an update on the Manica streams of income - perhaps CB thinks that Bushranger is a lot more exciting ( and it probably is, to be fair) - but I don't think we should forget our bread-winners...

Do you think that those that are holding off buying sub 5p in the morning session will just end up paying over 5p later in the day?

Sorry, Correction to my earlier post - i listened again and Colin said that if we are drilling much past Tuesday then this will be very exciting - so we would probably have to wait until Wednesday or Thursday to find out if it really is a monster.

But as the avocado stone is about half way through then we will get a pretty good idea of what to expect once the mineralisation peaks...

Interesting the throw-away comment about geologists suspecting it may be a double system - that would mean two onions, one below t'other and two avocado stones - we may even open a greengrocers at this rate :-)

Unless of course, he tells us we are still inside the avocado stone on Monday - I would let him off for that!

Not sure how this BB had decided the target depth of the drill is only 700m?

"Drilling of the second hole of the Phase One Drilling Programme at the Racecourse Mineral Resource on the Bushranger Project, has continued to 405m out of a planned hole depth of about 750m"

So target depth is 750m - Maybe a case of Chinese whispers?

I wonder if they will continue past 750m if there are still shows of mineralisation?
