Thanks for your incite perroverde - that's a lot of diamonds! If they find the kimberlite pipes where the alluvial diamonds originate from then presumably that will add to that total. VAST/BOD may already have that info from the databases they hold - yesterday's news was not understood by the market, but was highly significant.

Also today's RNS was not just about Marange there are many unexplored diamond fields in Zim and VAST and BOD have the data and knowledge of country and connections to exploit those opportunities. After all (according to AP in a recent podcast) VAST has spent the most on exploration in Zim in the recent past. VAST is now starting to benefit from that investment and if you research the RNS back to 2006 you will see how many projects that we own that have been on hold for this very time, when Zim opens up.

I have discussed the S/P with Andrew and he is highly aware that is why we invest - I gather he used to be a copper trader so he understands the markets well and does hold VAST shares which he purchased at above a penny. The recent RNS have been very positive however unless you know the company pretty well they don't smack you in the face. Though I agree they all add to the value of the company and when the rise in the s/p comes it will just add to that. One day we will get some breakthrough news and VAST will get the markets full attention and seriously rerate IMO.

It all adds to the pressure (for want of a better word as they clearly don't feel any) to make the RomGov give the nod Jayfella

Oracle I have been to Cape town - there are loads of places to go within a couple of hours drive - Hermanus is south in fact hire a car and drive the coast south of Cape town its really beautiful. Franschhoek is also great especially if you like wine - the best restaurant I have been in ifs in the Graff vineyard just outside Stellenbosch and near Franschhoek. Paternoster is a great place also its about 3 hours north of Cape Town on the coast and has great beaches. Nots ure how much water they have right now though?

Killerp, Botswana Diamonds are a small private company but their CEO James Campbell is a highly knowledgeable geologist who specialises in Diamonds and was De Beers head of exploration - he knows the diamonds at Marange as he was part of the team who discovered them whilst at De Beers. It all adds up!
