No Dodge I have VAST shs with the liquidator of Beaufort and they will not be returned to me until the Autumn - no one is trading those shares - there is a creditors meeting due and nothing will be done until that has taken place.

Totally agree adam, this is just AIM, no conspiracy or dark forces at play (well no more than usual on AIM), just PI's who got in wanting the BP licence when it was supposed to come, as it hasn't they are losing interest or suspect something is wrong, which anyone who actually knows the company will know is totally ridiculous. Stuff gets delayed but VAST is in the best position it ever has been. The s/p is a bargain at current levels IMO and won't be at this level much longer I feel. I hope everyone has a good BH weekend and maybe next week we will get some news, it's been very quiet the last few weeks which since AP took over is unusual, so fingers crossed!

I agree Sandy with the lack of info on the BP licence and obvious sensitivity of the process the fact a section of VAST's website says we have an MOU with Remin in place now is significant - anyway time will tell, but I think it's highly positive.

It must be ancient then 2P it states we still have an MOU with Remin yet according to an RNS of 21 May 2013 it ran out on 29 October 2013

I tend to agree Sandy - why even publish the Remin assets in the "Projects" section if nothing has been going on for 4 years?, it was always pie in the sky and wait until the mining law changes etc. - well the mining law hasn't changed yet so why now?

No way Pepco that would be far too simple for them - mind you the way that mine is being turned around to be profitable should impress them - I don't think another Rom mine has been taken over privately and made to work!

I just hope the RomGov realise we need the BPPM licence to deliver an "advancement and recommencement of mining at Baita Bihor" otherwise there will be no "proof of concept" to be had :-)

Yes I noticed that Pepco, still odd that it is under "Projects", they looked at the data on these in 2013 and I don't recall it being on the website before (now apart from the RNS at the time). The fact they mention that BPPM will act as a "proof of concept for the downstream development of Remin�s mining assets" - this is new we didn't have BPPM until December 2014 so I think there must have been some recent discussions on this.

I just noticed the VAST website has been significantly updated with lots of new info. The "Operations" page caught my eye in particular, Eureka is now on it, but more significantly if you scroll down to "Additional Projects" at the bottom of the page, the Zambian and additional Zim assets are shown but what surprised me is "Remin mining assets" it seems we still have an MOU and I don't recall anything being published about Remin for a while - why now I wonder and why under projects - unless of course it is one? link: http://www.vastresourcesplc.com/operations/

I am not saying we will get everything this year but I think we will get to see what the future for VAST will be. The diamonds are always a long shot but possible now. There will be further acquisitions in Zim though I am sure. Romania is Andrews country, he is a national, he has brought all our Rom assets: BPPM, Manaila, Zagra and Faneata, he knows the right people and has access to huge capital via Mercuria - we won't get it all now but I doubt it will be years before it starts. There will be lot's happening short term - remember the "lot's news in April" podcast - ok it's delayed but there must be plenty due, Andrew may be optimistic on his timelines, (which let's face it are mainly not in his control) but he delivers.

Bat - I disagree - look at Zim, Mnangagwa is up for reelection in July - the diamonds will be prominent in this campaign and I think there will be pressure to get them sorted ASAP, the local people around Marange are very annoyed that they got nothing from them, whilst Mugabe allegedly stole $15bn's worth. In Rom the mining law will probably change later this year, they have been deliberating on these laws for years already and they are keen to get employment up in the mining sector. Anyway as always we will see!

I think there is lots going on in both jurisdictions FTB - I am not ruling out something big happening in Rom in the near term and it will eclipse BP IMO. AP has stated several times he wants an advantage when the mining laws change and wants to be in there even before the change - he will have spent plenty of time with the minister over the last year re. the licence - who knows they may have got talking about other projects. If you were the RomGov what would you prefer to do? sell all your valuable mines for practically nothing to unknown foreign companies who could do anything with them - (there is a history of this over the past 10 years with foreign investors ripping off the RomGov and never providing employment or investment) Or do a JV with a proven mining company with Rom based CEO and good country management? When you way up the choices the RomGov have for a potential partner (if that is the chosen route) what choices do they have? you would need a partner with access to large amounts of capital, country expertise and the management structure, skills and experience to mine in Rom. To say there are not many choices that meet these criteria is an understatement as far as I am aware there is only one!

AP via RP did say they had picked 5 targets though out of the possible 55 I think from the data they were provided and they are huge mines much bigger than BPPM

FTB if you are referring to VAST's MOU it was for 6 months I think and it finished in early 2014 from memory - they decided to leave it until the law was changed.

italione - it was just a bit of news to show we could get a licence - I am sure at some point it will be looked at again but it's certainly on the back burner until we get BP running and by then they will have bigger fish to fry IMO

FTB as I understand it under EU fair competition rules the RomGov are forbidden to invest in their mines - however with a JV they won't be we will. If the RomGov chooses to JV with a private partner I see no reason for them not to do it - here in the UK there are many examples of Gov/private JV companies. What intrigues me is how AP gets in before the competition on the law changes - a JV with the RomGov crossed my mind with Mercuria financing it - that would be great for all concerned - RomGov keep 50% of their mines and the profits, Mercuria get a great investment and no doubt a massive offtake deal and we get say 25% of all the remin mines for nothing - win win win!

Sandy I am sure you are correct and lets face it anything will be quicker if the RomGov don't have to deal ;-)
