No JORC was done on the original Marange field and Mugabe said it produced $15bn of diamonds - you judt pick them up out of the dirt. AP said an artisanal miner found a 27ct stone 3m deep - not rock just sediment.

2 weeks ago the s/p was .56 - placing today to presumably LTH at .645 - great placing for existing shareholders IMO

is highly significant in order to make the proposed acquisition of one of the largest diamond fields on the planet a possibility. Speculate to accumulate etc., if this was any other AIM junior with the chance of acquiring Marange mk11 in 2 MONTHS, the MC of £30 mils would be justified on that one asset.

Of course the cost of dewatering continues at BPPM but the licence should be granted soon, and that mine is a bargain if we have to wait 5 years.

Super strong buy for me - risky of course, higher the risk bigger the reward though and the rewards possible for vast are massive!

I agree Lith 100 mil is reasonable for the first year - the plant costs will be 10's of mil to get the mine running at full potential and it will take time to build it etc. and yes mining law changes needed to get 75% profits.

That is just the diamonds though, BP and who knows what else should be added in Rom this year so together we could well see 5p in the next few months depending what happens. (obviously this may not happen/could take longer).

If we get he DD on the diamond concession done and the finance for it in the next couple of months, get the BP licence MC of £200 mil is possible this year - so s/p of 2-5p depending on shs in issue, progress and AIM sentiment which for VAST is pretty low right now but can change very quickly - the market hasn't got VAST yet.

Agree though for VAST £400 mil would do it for me ;-) and that could be the diamond concession on it's own.

Mid tier is all about market cap not the exchange - VAST will probably move the the main listing in a couple of years depending on growth but it is not necessary. ASOS is still on AIM and its massive.
The main listing is actually cheaper to be listed on and you do not need a NOMAD.
There are other requirements but VAST would meet them now probably.

prempun - I disagree with you that "it's all priced in" - the value of the assets VAST hold in their current state isn't even priced in IMO should be 2p now.

The true potential will be crystallised when the assets mature - mining BP/upgraded plant Manaila?Zagra biggest Cu mine in Europe/Diamonds/Gold - the list goes on - potentially £bn company in a few years - that is not priced in!

3.14 - the costs are shared as are the profits - so it makes no difference to the economics - the investor just owns 49% and takes 49% of costs and profits - the investor has to put in all the capital but the 51% indigenous share is repaid prior to the profits being paid to that entity.

BTW the VAST RNS says 75% profits after the law changes soon

Agree Sandy, but the water is building against the dam and when it breaks nothing will stop it!

When the market realises the consequence of todays RNS there will be nothing to hold back VAST.
The RNS states there are alluvial on the concession but more importantly "conglomerate ore resources" - this is where the alluvials came from presumably - the source of all the Marange alluvials? all $15bn worth according to Mugabe! - how big is the conglomerate? - see quote from RNS

Mark Mabhudhu, Director of Vast Resources Zimbabwe Ltd and former CEO of Government owned Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company Ltd, commented, “The concession area has not been mined before and by virtue of its geographical positioning within the Marange Diamond Fields it is anticipated to contain economically viable diamondiferous alluvials as well as conglomerate ore resources.”

Whilst BP is significant to VAST I doubt its 1% of the value of this diamond deposit outlined and after the indigenisation law changes I reckon we get 75% profits.
