completely disagree that this is a disaster. If it were, the RNS would have indicated so and it would have been clearer with wording such as 'suspended indefinitely.' The first sentence in that RNS is they have been informed by the drilling contractor, SMP of the problem. Surely, SMP has told them more, i.e. specifics in so far as they can. The fact that they have called in a specialist asap shows their willingness to get this back on track as fast as they can. No one knows for sure yet what the problem is. But for the company to receive info, call in a specialist and state explicitly that their goal is to reduce delays to weeks shows their attitude and approach to the problem. Do you want to know what stinks in a company - lack of info and managers getting paid for god knows what - go check out COPL. Your post probably applies to that board.
