MCG are selling their American business when the American economy is turning the corner - interest rate cuts are coming down the pipe and inflation is falling - Cosmens know this and it is an opportunity to cash in on future growth for a knock down price - they have already secured some of the company for peanuts so whatever the agreed takeover price is it will be less for them overall when averaged down - follow the money

Today's drop a read through from Delta Airlines results today - sentiment driven and of little concern to Easyjet imo, just a buying opportunity which I took advantage of earlier to add to my holding which is now around 6pct of my overall portfolio -dyor etc gl and good weekend to all
JJ - the highlight of the results for me was that MKS are taking market share in Women's clothes, so long their nemesis - they can be tarnished with the dowdy frumpy image no more - FACT - this I think will play out going forward -clothing momentum now with MKS -that is a wonderful and powerful thing - rebound here next week imho.
dyor etc and good weekend all

Basically what is happening is the Dow is messing its pants because interest rates will not fall as soon as predicted - that is why the FTSE is being hammered - the FTSE is the Dows B!itch

Being hammered right now - when you state things like "uncertainty in terms of economic growth, and consumer and geopolitical risks" - you are setting yourself up for a fall, international sales not helped - I will look to add if it falls much further, down 5pct atm
gla dyor etc
Back in here with a small tranche having sold out a few months ago - will add if it falls further
gla dyor etc
Overpriced or underpriced that is the question? - regardless of what the market may think or say - talk is cheap - The Cosmens are putting skin in the game which says it is underpriced - follow the money

It is interesting XXXA - I have been monitoring the share price closely this morning and MCG opened down along with the rest of the market - went to minus 1.6p then reversed quickly to be trading up 0.2p as I am typing - someone is clearly adding here on ANY weakness - accumulating as it were - agree in terms of selling - I would not like to be short on this stock right now.

Sainsburys sales declined over the Christmas period and their share is down 3pct atm - probably a read through from that in terms of MKS currently down today - my read through is that their market share of sales declined because MKS took their share along with many other supermarkets - looking at the sale items left on the shelves in terms of clothing I am pretty confident for tomorrow - lets see

Apologies guys looking at the wrong bloody ticker there! - getting a little carried away -yes low vol this morning - hopefully some buying this afternoon - that seems to be the trend of late - lets see

Huge buys just gone through for MCG - Follow themoney

MCG Mcap is currently at 533m which is quite simply ludicrous in a market where oil is tanking and interest rates/inflation are falling - the chicken is in the hen house and the foxes are prowling - the Cosmens know it and I am pretty sure there are plenty of others sniffing around - looking at past trading figures with MCG where debt has been similar to what it is now but the economic scenario has been better the mcap was way way more than 533m - any takeover bid will have to be pitched at a price to factor in current/future economic conditions which are favourable right now - standard takeovers usually offer around a 35pct premium which would put MCG at around 116p - if there is more than 1 fox on the prowl this goes out of the window - personally I am looking to triple bag here at around 170p

The results will need to be spectacular on Thursday to keep this run going - Mrs C is in Bluewater atm - I asked her to pick me up a couple of jumpers for me in the Men's sale - she has just called me to say there is only 1 rack of clothes in menswear left in the sale! - 1 rack!!! - it is looking good boys and girls - fingers crossed for Thursday

I would be very surprised if EZJ are not hedging their oil allocation at these prices - will add handsomely to the bottom line - bring it on
gla dyor etc
I have to say I am very pleased I topped up yesterday at 485p - I originally bought EZJ on the back of one of my wife's friends comments - she has been in the management side of the airline business for around 30 years - she recently joined Easyjet and was blown away by the Easyjet holidays and the potential for profit - the sheer volume of scale here must command a healthy margin surely and with Easyjet being associated with good value for money I don't think they will have any issues attracting holiday business - looking to double bag here with a 425p average -

MKS share currently down - some of this due to profit taking I think after a recent good run and some may be due to the Next results today showing bumper sales - the read through may be that they have taken market share from MKS - Personally I don't think so - looking at the sales items left on the website it compares favourably to recent years which means more stock has been sold at full price - it will ultimately come down to the trading update next week - I am confident the results will be good - lets see

An extract from the FT article "However, government officials said they would be given some leeway given the difficulties in taking out essential parts of a network while still running services." - this is a basically a non story designed to depress the bt share price - I will keep adding on more weakness
gla dyor etc
Added to my holding here at 485p - non exec director bought 10k worth at 507p a couple of days ago - directors will know a lot more than we do about the current EZJ position - will add on further weakness
