"3.70 incoming" - based on what exactly ??
Guys - I feel for you - I have been there myself - I was around 35pct down on ITV but kept adding as I could see the future potential and eventually after 18 months I am now back in profit - it is painful for sure - I can also see the future potential with MCG in which I am also down around 8pct atm - for me I think there is limited downside here going forward - the debt is manageable, the prospects are imo good with inflation and interest rates falling and the demand is there for buses over cars from a green perspective and the demand is there for buses over trains from a reliability/cost perspective - macro economic events could always push the share further south of course, but that is the same with most shares - I have decided, like ITV I will add further here subject to further weakness - gla dyor etc.
The figures from Kantar reflect what I have been saying on this board for around 2 years - Ocado can undercut the rest on deliveries as they don't have to pay staff to stack and sort the food items - robots did not require inflationary pay rises last time I checked - why would you want to receive food from Asda, Tesco etc when you can have the food from Marks and Spencer for around the same price ? - follow the money
gla dyor etc.
This morning Kantar said online player Ocado was again the fastest growing grocer in the 12 weeks to April 14, with a 12.5% growth in sales - as I said in my post yesterday, the theory that MKS cannot maintain its Christmas dominance in food and clothing is completely wrong and playing out in front of your eyes - follow the money

I think the UK business, although in the doldrums atm could turn around quickly - let's not forget the 16pct wage rises that were factored into the UK results - inflation forecast to be around 2pct by year end so future wage rises will be nowhere near this in the UK going forward - inflation and interest rates dropping in the states and eurozone will also benefit MCG - when companies get taken over the predetor looks at forward earnings potential - Kretinski did this only a few days ago with IDS - Cosmens may well do the same.
gla dyor etc
To me this looks very similar to IDS where a party wants a certain section of the business - ultimately this resulted in said party bidding for the whole business - MCAP here around 340m now - cosmen bid must be close now surely

Doubled my holding here at 57.5p - gla dyor etc
MKS still trading at lows based on a theory that they cannot sustain the Christmas sales in food and clothes - this theory has been smashed month on month - shares will go higher from here a lot higher imo - lets see
gla dyor etc
For me a lot of this must be in the price - trading pretty close to historic lows - I have bought in near the lows and will add if it bombs on Monday - fingers crossed it doesn't in which case I will also add - gla
Decided to trim off my profit here, around 25pct of my holding and keep the rest for the ride.
gla dyor etc
Direct Line were offered 237p which was 3pct above the previous offer by Ageas - 3pct on 320p would be around 330p - think carefully guys re any uplift on the offer - Direct Line shares dropped sub 2 quid when the offer was withdrawn and they are still sub 2 quid - personally I will be happy with plus 300p -
gla dyor etc.
276p bid closing price, just changed - not bad though tbf - will hopefully push on for more tomorrow - a very good day indeed - well done all lth's
Carrington, RNS the bid was 320p - Simx - 280p bid closing price matey

DING DONG - bought in at 213.8p yesterday so a 15pct net gain in 24 hours!! - an extra G and T before dinner tonight is well in order for me and Mrs C!!!

"Goldman Sachs reinitiates Direct Line with 'buy' - price target 280 pence" - confirmation of my post here on the 12th April - follow the money
gla dyor etc
"Welcome back Carrington." - ah thanks Red - difficult times right now with macro economics taking centre stage - turbulence for all shares atm - I am looking to add here on further weakness - gl matey.
Back into this at 213.8p after a long hiatus - down 25pct in the last 4 months - looks way oversold to me based on recent results -

Added at 189.3p
