In 1994 via 'The Budapest Memorandum' newly independent Ukraine, agreed to surrender it's nuclear arsenal
(against it's instinct) in return for guarantees from USA, UK & Russia that those countries would in perpetuity protect Ukraine against foreign aggression. i.e. in perpetuity protect and guarantee it's sovereignty.
The USA & UK pressured Ukraine to sign ' for the good of world peace'.
The female reporter's awkward question to MP Boris Johnston :-
"We agreed a deal with USA & UK. We want you to stick to your end of the deal. You bang on about 'not wishing to escalate', and just being able to 'protect NATO borders'. Let me be frank - you are leaving Ukraine alone and naked to fight for world democracy.
My country is going to be destroyed, but you and all NATO will sleep in soft beds tonight.
You cannot even implement a no fly zone to give us a fighting chance.
Why will you not keep your end of the deal ? "
Shocking that we renege on our promise . We should be taking military action to prevent this slaughter.
