Unexpected update to say the firm is flying and shareholders are getting a special dividend before the budget.

Firstly isn't Goowin an outstanding company and second the directors being so thoughtful towards shareholders. Hats off to them all.

Thanks Dibbs. I had been thinking I might offload my meagre number of shares for another investment but reading that changed my mind. It's a question of being patient. I am not particularly good at that and one day will learn. The shares have been flat lately but let's be optimistic.

I did see and Ad on Sky Sports or TNT this week, interestingly. I wasn't that impressed being brutally honest but if it hits the target, why not.

Not sure when we get the next update but I would think the last half was an aberration and we resume good progress towards a strong bottom line and shareholder returns.

Very brave Sparks. I think the downward trend is more to do with national politics as the cost of subsidies is in the sights of some politicians.

Not just Gatwick expanding. Heathrow is also moving forward with its third runway which has political approval thankfully. All good medium term for air travel and for SSP

I hope the Poles are ok. The polls don't look great either for the Tories but they can't now cry wolf when it was they who screwed the ramped up the tax in the first place. What a shower.

Interesting debate here. One option is to top slice but the addage as stated by avocet is to run your profits and cut losers. The issue is really about timing.I usually sell too early and then invest in losers! Comments on alternatives welcome.

Wes Streeting comes across as a decent leader. Same as any PM though- you don't know how they will do till they get the job.

Boris came across as a jolly good chap but was totally useless as PM.

Be careful with Lenigas. He has form.

We could use an early and positive decision to give the share price a leg up. We've been drifting a while and need to see progress. Let's give the shorters something to think about!
