Someone has to pay for housing, schools, adult social care and roads to name a few services. You might not like the quality or the cost but it's the principle. I don't bregrudge paying my council tax which in my case is £3747 including the police precept this year to pay for those services. If I don't pay, who will?
I like the idea of a UK ISA as it could put a rocket under Lgen among others. Question is what's UK because many of the FTSE 100 have a large part of their business overseas. UK listed might be a definition which could attract overseas companies to list here, but is that what's intended? Maybe.
I see fund manager big wigs had a get-together at number ten last week. That might be a starting gun to get action shortly..
