Setting up nicely for Chinese return from holiday and trading update next week

We know Tesla bought a load of silver at 120$ beating Samsung? Who sound like they went out and found their own source.

Imho the big players will be dealing direct with miners so the production available to general market will reduce

We survived the Chinese holiday... Something I was very worried about..so hopefully next week will be good in the build up to the trading update

Birdsong - not expecting silver miners to match silver prices.

But there should be some consistency..eg go up and down relative to the silver spot price.

If fres matched hoc that would be one thing ...but looked at the vast discrepancy.

I am hoping that the due trading results will re rate fees accordingly....but who knows? There seems to be something behind fres price that just doesn't make sense

Fres follows silver closely when going down..not so much on the way up

Silver price is up 5% fres about 1 %

Looking at hoc

Up in last week 8% ....we are up 2.6%

Last month hoc up 25% we are down 3.25%

Total mined is something like 56 billion ounces.

Besides we know that paper silver is many multiples of physical quantity. I have read x30 or even x 300

Fres defo seems to be hit harder than its peers when possible but never responds as well when the peers are doing well.

Cant see why with silver up today albeit by a micro amount (1.16%) we are negative by 1.28%

i think in the case of silver pretty much. you can see for years that the price has been held down and that they don't hold enough physical etc etc ....jp morgan got fined for it ffs...how bad do you think it must have been for that to happen?

so it going up was a real fight ....which burst through.

so they then changed the goal posts by 5 increases of margin calls - more manipulation

we are going to get further hammered this week as nothing to keep them in check with chinese on holiday

Ducati - the updates are done when due/ready. they are not going to be determined by a foreign stock exchange that we are not on.

they wouldn't even adjust for crimex which is where they base their figures on.

it is only looking at the picture of silver physical v silver paper that are sensitive to it

also when silver hit and gold is fine - we are a silver company even though almost half revenue is gold. if gold gets hit and not silver i am sure we will be a "gold" company.

so we have to contend with crimex and shock exchange

Automy...it is the margin calls that they use to hammer the price..if they move the goal posts and say you have to stump up £x or lose your position you may not have the money.

The probability is that they will have a crack at hammering the price down again this week to help balance the books for the end of the month. There will be no rescue from the Chinese side who are celebrating their new year.

If they don't then that is a very bullish sign to me...but there is still one period when there is a good chance they will try again.

March is when I expect that a good floor will be put down by fres...and the silver price could also get a huge raise.

Until then it is a question of sitting on your hands.

Antony...jp Morgan have tried to manipulate and control the silver price for years. If they say $81 - my guess is that will be supported by them.good news for us ... For a bit. I think we all expect the price to go much higher but their capitulation is a good sign

Ducati - investing directly in silver v miners is two different stories.

Fres has been getting a better price than forecast. The so has gone up but a lot less than the revenue priced in.

The price wil reflectthis in the next update imho

Should help silver price a bit.

Though basically they have got a free run until chins comes back online

The other metals are slightly up.

Just the usual silver manipulation..2 days of stability then smash by almost 10%

But gold / platinum / copper are all ok - just silver being smashed as usual . Dow Jones is only 1 % down.

IMHO they will prob try to smash silver down with the Chinese being on holiday.

The issue is that fess will no doubt rise before results. So if you sell out you might lose out. If you don't you might wish you had.

Just gonna sit on my hands an shut laptop until March! Lol

No doubt the silver price will creep up by end of play over there - too late for us as they tanked us again.

Lemon - you are crazy if you think fres will drop that low.

At high $60 per oz spot we were at £3500 ish?

Once we have it in an rns with some guidance of the average price being realised last year - and the market can do some basic math we will be fine.

Lemon - I predicted two periods when we are vulnerable to being smashed down again. One is next week when Chinese year shuts them down for a week. The physical price might not be able to respond to any shenanigans they decide to get up to.

Obviously the end of the month is another potential mine.

However we are due the update and I would expect some upward movement in fres leading up to this.

It is just a question of sitting on your hands and waiting until March when I think the picture will come clearer and rosier

At $80 spot we are making some serious profits and will reflect in so sooner or later..prob when least expecting
