ADVFN is showing closing price as 9.3p.
Time for LSE to give their computers an oil-change, methinks.
I'll procure the oil for them if they'll undertake to buy appox 500000 barrels worth @ say $50.01
ADUK : "But I'm highly tempted to modify it further, including a box to tick followed by the phrase "Je sors pour aller braquer une banque". Because the banks are still open."
Attention, la police française tue généralement les voleurs de banque.
ADUK: "And like that we could gather at La Rochelle on the basis we were 'going to work'. But there's a problem. 'Pro players' have to pay tax on their winnings..."
Pity times are so fraught with difficulties at the moment otherwise I could be tempted to loan you the keys to my currently empty property on the seafront some 250 yards from the JOA Casino de Canet en Roussillon. This, if it were possible, would be on the basis that I get 75% of any winnings you might achieve or, failing that a charge of, let’s say, a £10 a night accommodation charge until you’ve had enough. However, given that the Casino is closed and you and you faithful old Range Rover are not allowed to make the trip over the Pyrenees mountains I regrettably have to say it’s a none starter. The saddest bit is that me and my missus can’t flipping get there either, not that I’ve ever been in the Casino for anything other than a meal in their not too bad restaurant. C’est la Vie.
that made me smile L.W. and I know it shouldn't have really.
.........................ramping up rapidly towards a quid just as I was preparing to transfer money from UK to France in order to pay the annual Service Charge subscription on my property there. What next, HUR struggling, don't mention SXX looks like leading to divorce (joke) and now the flipping euro wants to join in the fun. Better I surrender to the Virus as quickly as I can so she can at least start digging out the insurance policies. I'm not even sure she'll miss me anymore.
Mr Bailey said: "Anybody who says, 'I can make a load of money by shorting' [aggressively betting on the value of specific companies continuing to fall] which might not be frankly in the interest of the economy, the interest of the people, just stop doing what you're doing."
Anyone making a statement like that certainly does not deserve to fill the position he's in. Shorters must be laughing their cods off.
You see, I knew as soon as I estimated a close at 9.08p it would finish much higher, I'll do it again tomorrow chaps, don't worry.
Not enough Me Bailey, order a stop to shorting for the time being for goodness sake.
.............we're going to close at 9.08p.
Well, it looks as though someone knows summat, tha knows.
bobrad: Year end financials tomorrow.
Looks like those Financials are going to be spectacular.
Can we please wait for the Markets to close after play tomorrow so we can enjoy the well anticpated rise in our share price, the result of spectacular HUR financials.
try: drains.
aduk: "Diminish the number of these 'drains' on the economy, and you might end up with a stronger population overall. And a stronger economy."
How about getting rid of the 'darins below'?
The multitude of overweight, lazy, British born and bred benefit claimants in our country who weekly can’t wait for their entitlement to part of the taxes secreted from my meagre old age pension and a great part, in taxation, of my Armed Forces pension earned over 40 years, much of which didn’t allow for watching of Skygo, on his or his kids bedroom TVs, nipping down to the bookies, the pub, football match, the scratching of scratch cards, the tombola nights, the claiming of cash to which he(they) might not be entitled, all for free. Might also be the parent of a teenage daughter, with no income, already with one child and another on the way with no father of either of them anywhere in view. Her benefits might easily be wasted as well on many of those items above enjoyed by her overweight, lazy, British born and bred father, funded by those who are gainfully employed now, or were, for most of the 80 years(me) they have managed, unaided by Government benefits, to survive. Add to that the above guy’s unemployed current wife or ‘partner’ who also enjoys much of his social life and it all adds up to as much, if not more, as the cost of looking after the retired, sick and elderly. I FULLY APPRECIATE THAT IF THE ELDERLY COULD BE GOT RID OF THERE WOULD BE MUCH MORE CASH LEFT TO REALLOCATE TO MY ABOVE CANDIDATES.
I voted leave to depart the European Union, despite having a French wife but I have to say that I am filled with admiration for the way the Freedom of Movement arrivals into our country managed to, generally, find work and have since contributed enormously to our economy which has helped to find the funds required to support benefits.
In addition let’s use the Hitler model for getting rid of the massive number of unwanted, unloved, uncared for, redundant elderly by digging big holes in several Regions of the country, starting with Scotland, into which we can unceremoniously chuck them. Saves money!!!
..........................................that anyone will continue to want to buy our 20bpd's worth of oil?
LONGWAIT: "verywhere you look in Saudi Arabia, disaster seems to loom on the horizon. This week the region of Qatif, a Shia stronghold in the oil-rich Eastern Province, was put under quarantine for two weeks because of coronavirus. All international visitors are now banned from entering the country, just months after the new tourism industry — part of a drive to diversify the economy away from oil — was launched. Mosques in Mecca and Medina have been closed, the umrah — or lesser pilgrimage — put on hold, and barring a miracle eradication of the virus in the next few months, the annual hajj will be cancelled for the first time ever. This means billions of dollars of lost revenues in a country with a colossal $50 billion budget deficit and which — because of Bin Salman’s most recent reckless move — is preparing an emergency budget for this year based on oil being as low as $12 a barrel.
Meanwhile, military checkpoints have been set up all over Riyadh, the capital, after Bin Salman launched yet another purge of perceived rivals. Dozens of senior princes, interior ministry big wigs and military figures were arrested and accused of planning an imminent coup with the help of Washington’s intelligence agencies. So Bin Salman, having alienated Russia and gone to war against the American shale industry, finds himself more isolated internationally than ever, and with no powerful friends or allies at home apart from the ailing king. He has torpedoed the world economy, and in doing so may have created other problems much closer to home."
Al lof that pales into insignificance compared to the banning of the Premier League.
CaptainSwag: "fingers crossed - we could really do with some good news"
I agree entirely Captain but I am yet to see any good news in my 2 year's worth of Huricane investment which lasted more than 5 minutes. Once again I'll say maybe .............................................this time. That should do it.
