The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
Yes ADUK, sorry. Very remiss of me to be inviting you to jump into that “king of the road vehicle” of yours and to take to the roads to enjoy what we, for a long time, have all understood to be your second most enjoyable pastime, driving, despite it not being the recommended form of breaking the virus monotony where you are at the moment. Now, I’ve gone and forgotten what your first form of enjoyment is, I’m sure it will come back to me eventually.
In fact, my rendition was a very poor effort, missing 2 letter words throughout. I’ll just have to put it down to senility taking hold faster than I ever envisaged……… (Joke)
I say again, Take care and stay safe.
ADUK: "By the way, where are you? Back in the UK, or sweating things out under 'lockdown' in the Roussillon? Naturally, the truck-race at Elne is cancelled, though I'd thought of popping in there (and Canet) on the way down to Barcellona (also cancelled)."
Yes back in the UK but hardly sweating out, though come to think about we are probably sweating it out but for other than sunshine reasons. Right now is the time that we would be setting off for Canet and there we would remain until early October. It remains to be seen what the Virus does for a living in the future before we can even think of making any plans for France. If there's the remotest chance of getting down there we will, given that our place is Front Mer and can take an awful beating by the weather throughout the winter, half the flipping beach will be in my front garden and glued to my windows along with a mountain of inconsiderately placed rubbish that holidaymakers wish to dispose of. We have another home in Chaumont, inherited from Ma in Law, which will need some attention too. Stategically it could not better placed as a "half way house" during the journey to the South.
What will be, will be, a bit like our HUR share at the moment but I have every confidence that both the Virus and HUR will start to behave themselves soon.
Take car, stay safe.................................................and do as you're told by 'les Flics'
ADUK and DC:
Many thanks to you both for even bothering to come back for a second go. At least I have found something that gets me close enough to make me happy.
I ticked you both up for your kindness.
Oh, it does.

I used this, no good?

Forget it, it don't work. I measures Barrels in everything other than Tons.

Missdosh: "Stena Natilita due at Nord-West Olleitung on 06/04/20 at 06:00
Cargo 60.000MT"
My extremely poor grasp of mathematics makes that about 530472bo. If it's no where near, don't blame me, blame Google.
My previous post should have started off like this and not by ADUK's comment.
feelinglucky: "Giant Squid topic bridges both sea life/animals covid transmission potential via calamari...and HUR mascot animal ...so should it be banned from discussion?"
feelinlucky: "Can I present an 'Attestation de Derogation' to you excusing my occasional 'Shipwatch' posts, so I too don't get banned?"
Yes, because that all seems a bit to complex for me. Suppose I could get ADUK to explain it for me as he does about all matters oily. Have said it before but the only oil I was ever familiar with would have been splashed onto a piece of flannelette 4"x2" before vanishing up the barrels of the following rifles: Lee Enfield, Fabrique National SLR and an SA80. You can now work out roughly when I started doing it and roughly when I gave it up. Oh, nearly forgot, not a bad day for our HUR.
ADUK: "Can I present an 'Attestation de Derogation' to you excusing my occasional 'Shipwatch' posts, so I too don't get banned?"
Accepted, on the basis that you are in amongst the list of my favourite top 50 HUR posters. Don't treat my acceptance as an excuse to start doing HUR to death though. Tell your pal LONGWAIT I'm watching him too, stick to the Virus, or else.
feelinlucky. If you continue to discuss HUR on this bulletin board I will have no alternative but to report you Admin with a view to getting you both banned in order that the rest of us can discuss nothing other than COVID-19.
Pisces: "Second tanker in a week as I predicted the other day ;-)"
Won't be much profit to be made out of this trip, however a profit is a profit and better than nowt, as they say.
Sailplane: "as storage capacity dwindles.
And, apparently, a plan being pushed to limit Texas production in a deal with OPEC."

Looks as though the Ruskies and the Sauds are going to have their wicked way with the Yankies shale then?
...............................333 points, all that because of one poorly HUR worker? what, you don't believe me !!, okay neither do I, so. what's all the fuss about. Santander down 20 points, it's the end of the world I tell you. the end of the world...............................................................................for some but...............................................not me.
MrPartridge: "Anyone think 17% jump today might be linked to a stonking set of feedback tomorrow. That said, markets are up in general today. Any thoughts?"
It looks as though tha could be reight lad, someone could easily know summat that we don't.......................................................as usual.
eskibeatbeater: "Thank you canetois. Posts like that make me acknowledge the 10 IQ you possess and that's enough to know you have no idea on something so basic let alone oil production."
My sincere apologies to you and to all those who quite properly recommended your post. My stupid post should have engaged at least some small part of my 10 IQ and I can't even think which small part of my 10 IQ led me to insert it into a BB like this.
It was idiotically inspired by a neighbour whilst chatting on my car park this morning who quoted a number of mass life taking events which, in some respects, massively exceeded, in his view, the numbers that will (may) occur as the result of Coronavirus, road traffic accident deaths being one which took me by surprise I have to admit.
I am truly sorry for the offence this may have caused to you and all those who read it.
Not entirely sure though what a lack of any in depth knowledge of oil production on my part has to do with my being well and truly invested here, the fundamentals seem easy enough to grasp.
1.25 million people
Annual Global Road Crash Statistics
Nearly 1.25 million people die in road crashes each year, on average 3,287 deaths a day. An additional 20-50 million are injured or disabled. More than half of all road traffic deaths occur among young adults ages 15-44.
Okay, maybe the virus will catch up over a 12 month period but I have my doubts.
...............at 11.86. Flipping UT was a little like after the Lord Mayor's show.
Oui. Vrai. Mais Covid-19 tue aussi, n'est-ce pas? Alors, qu'est-ce que j'ai a perdre? C'est kif-kif.
touché
LONGWAIT: "Isn't it curious that it has closed at above 9p on the last two trading days, especially after a fall in Brent to about $25.50 at the close today?"
Does it say something advantageous about the 19th and 25th of March which, just for once, transpires.
