All in my opinion… but it’s looking likely that the Fed has only two further rate hikes before pausing for most of the remaining 2023. So that means we will see a 25bps hike on Feb 1st and a final 25bps on 22 March.
US YoY CPI for December was 6.5% which down from 7.1% for November. Economists are expecting CPI to fall consistently over 2023. The Trading Economics website, which includes economists forecasts for several key indicators, has Q4 2023 CPI now at 1.9%. I.e below the Feds 2% target!. The Fed is obviously monitoring the jobs market for any weakness. Recent news on large scale jobs cuts and the recent wage data being below expectations does point to a cooling jobs market.
All very positive and pointing to a recovery in the overall crypto market.. the only short term concern is the political uncertainty surrounding the debt ceiling which will be tackled on Thursday which could cause a spike in bond yields and a short term market drop..
Recent data from Glassnode is now showing that miners are accumulating Bitcoin, rather than selling down reserves.. positive also..

I’ve had no position in ODX for over a year now, and be honest, I switched all my equity holdings into crypto a long time ago. I was just sharing my disappointment regarding some of the decisions made by our government, rather than anything else untoward. I wish you well…

I used to hold ODX, but sold more than a year ago after getting frustrated that the anticipated orders from the U.K. government never appeared. It’s now clear that deals done behind closed doors, to benefit an inner circle of politicians and related parties, resulted in large orders from China, rather than U.K. based companies. Very sad..

The 20m dollar loan taken back in June for repayment in 6months. Now we know how that will be paid back. I.e by not selling Bitcoin hodl or defi investments, but from the Nasdaq listing? Listed on Nasdaq before end of 2021 in that case.. let’s go!

Sentiment has taken a hit in ARB recently. In my opinion, the major drop in Bitcoin mining difficulty, and work being down around sustainable energy use, should see a very nice rerate in ARB this month.. margins back to where they were when BTC was at 65k!! Imagine if BTC now rallies back up to ATHs?
