The mask has been a huge disappointment and it has nothing to do with the masks themselves which are great. It's completely down to the inability to produce and market the mask. However I won't be selling. They have cut expenses. If the mask just washes it's face and breaks even then it could be considered like a new company with £5m and some early stage products, though I'm still optimistic they can make the mask work.

What is absolutely essential is that the BOD recognise the deficiencies that they have in pr marketing and sales and sort them out pronto.

The Heathrow tender sounded like it was made for us. They want surgical masks not reusable ones but are looking for the best that they can find to limit spread of the infection. Our antiviral masks with 7 hours use are a perfect fit.

BUT that's not just at Heathrow..If it's good for Heathrow it's most likely going to be good for every other airport too Gatwick, Manchester, Leeds-Bradford,Glasgow,City etc. etc.. the list goes on. Not even mentioning overseas airports. There is your list of prospects Dr C. Get a sales team to contact every airport. The sales team needs a subsistence basic salary and a juicy bonus that they only get if they make sales. It's how all other sales teams work. They don't give them a bunch of free shares up front for nowt and let them sit on their hands.

It concerns me every time they say things like, the new CEO will be a scientist or science will be at the heart of what they do. Not because it shouldn't but because they are ignoring the glaring gap in their business acumen.

It's not the science that has caused this share to go sub 1p. Why do they think strengthening the science will sort it? Gyro is full of scientists that have done diddly squat and wasted £500k. Is this what Cave aspires to do?

It seems to be these academics think that they know better than the rest of us because they live in their ivory towers and everyone has always told them how good they are. This is the real world. There is no resting on laurels. Put up or shut up.

I do still believe in the IP and the product but they must recognise that they need help in the business and sales department. They just seem to want to run the company as their little research lab.

I just don't think they have given us the full picture of Gyro to make that decision.
We have just had an update and I am still none the wiser if the trails on the wind turbine actually took place and failed or if they never took place at all.

I'd be mighty peeved if we handed back to the founders then they announced a successful deal.

Also I have some concerns about the 15%. What's to stop them raising money by dilution and us ending up with very little?

I think on balance they would be better to keep hold of it but curtail any new avenues. Try to get minimum expenditure and see if the sales on the ships gradually goes up. I'm not sure Ganni have really had chance to push this angle fully since not long after the deal we ended up with Covid pandemic.

Just my thoughts on it. I'm considering voting 'no'.

I was interested to see that at present they pump back some of the gas back into the hole. Presumable there would be nothing to stop them putting their gas to power tech there and pumping the CO2 back down the well instead? So effectively carbon capture and storage?

Yes there are lots of companies that produce bog standard masks without the anti-viral layer in.
Our USP is the anti-viral layer. If the NHS want anti-viral masks(which they are currently reviewing) they have to come to the people who supply them.

Flu, Monkeypox and the scourge that is TB.
There will be a need for anti-viral masks even in a post Covid world.

Machine is up to full capacity come July. I don't think they would be making them if they couldn't sell them. For my money all they have tried to do is lower expectations to aim to 'under promise and over deliver'. Time will tell.

I'm in BMN too.

It's a bet on the future of Vanadium really and although underwarter in BMN and up in FAR in the short term, I like both as long term plays.

IMHO If the vanadium battery storage market takes off it can only be a positive for both companies.

One thing I do wonder is; BMN have made much of their vertical integration in the VFB space. I wonder if FAR/Sir Mick will add another company into the pot that makes the flow batteries or if he will be content just to supply the electrolyte to others who do?

Also they should just confirm if one of the new products that they are developing is an air con filter and if they have had any discussions with Volz about it! That would be uplifting in itself!
