Would you like a Covid killing filter for that HVAC system?

Surely there are ways to mitigate the risk/reward profile if AC thought it was appropriate?
Maybe bringing in a partner to take some of the drill risk and if successful a decent profit?
Could it even be structured with a financial instrument? Something like preference shares?
Would be interested on people's thoughts.

Every Volz customer re-ordering filters can be asked at the point of sale, "do you want the standard filter again or would you like to try our new filter that kills Covid?"

This is now a value added proposition for them.

I was thinking more about the use of the nano material in the filters, but so far we only have masks so could only test it in those.

With the masks;
The ear loops sometimes fall off after a while. I've been reusing mine since I first got them but after a bit you start to doubt if the rest of the melt blown layer is upto unlimited use and go for a new mask.

I think in health settings etc... they will probably stick to the 7 hours (1 per shift) manufacturer recommended use.

So I guess what I'm getting at is all it would take would be for Dr C to take the first mask ever produced (which maybe could be still screwed up in is pocket somewhere) Get it tested and then if it still kills the virus he can say it still works after a year or so since being made. Just a thought. Find that mask Dr C...!

They would have to keep re-introducing the virus if they wanted to test duration. maybe that's what they did though. I'm confusing myself now. this is why they are the scientists and I'm watching this screen all day lol

TBF I think we have all misunderstood just how the test works. I think they take a sample of material and divide it up, place a known quantity of virus on each piece and then at time intervals remove a piece and use titration it to measure the live virus left on the sample. So if the mask kills the virus 100% dead in the first few minutes they are just getting 0% virus readings for the remaining samples and give up at the 7 hour mark because they are fed up and want to go home for their tea. I could be wrong.
