It’s a point I have made previously the fear that the company is being lived up for a low ball offer, seemingly “generous” in terms of sp multiples but well well short of the value required to bring a new novel drug to this phase of development and no recognition of additional upside provided by a much wider future application including HAPB cystic fibrosis MRSA, MSSA and so on. We have very lucrative patents in place snd I am sure we will be able to file more for further application thus protecting the revenue stream for decades. It would be stupid of management to accept a finite offer and walk away from the upside denying shareholders the opportunity to participate in the long term growth and development of a ground breaking biotech company. Let’s get the approval first but then the BoD will need to keep cool heads. Hopefully more institutions will come on board to replace the short term punters holding the shares currently. This is a good drug with potentially an enormous future in a world rapidly running out of effective antibiotics. The kind of valuations put on this drug are well well short of what is achievable. There are plenty of narco companies out there valued in the billions for somewhat tenuous and limited applications. If you look at the length of time drugs like vancomycin have been around it’s easy to see that iclaprim and it’s future derivatives could still be around in 50 years time. Why would you sell st the first opportunity and turn your back on any future spin offs ?
