My reading of the latest news is that we can all calm down. No bid before the DFS. This makes sense to me, BOD's of big companies like to see the figures before voting. They all want to protect their backsides. Rather pay more (it's not their money) for a readymade package than risk egg on face. Oh well... Only another six months.
Bozi, I don't have any disagreement with your analysis, but we will get a PFS within six months, then where do we go? It's like doggedly building the largest car on the road and not having the petrol/electricity to drive it. I fear that having BHP and Newcrest on the share register is restricting the BOD to drilling to add value and hoping for a solution to turn up.
Recent news, excellent. Porvenir results should arrive soon and, hopefully, will drive the SP north.
However, what I really want to know is the overall direction of travel. Is the plan to put Cascabel up for auction and to use the proceeds to develop Porvenir and other sites? If so, why not say so?
Another thing that I find curious. We were told that they were looking for JV partners to speed up the exploration of secondary sites. Why haven't BHP or Newcrest picked up on this?
All we know -and I am not belittling this - is that we keep drilling and adding value.
Finger tapping time.
My guess is that we will be told that farm-in negotiations are ongoing in about six week's time. Our directors know the most probable candidate already from last year's failed talks. In truth, our BOD would like a complete take-over but there's not enough hard proof for that, IMO.
