50p is a great average, I don't see it ever going below that. I invest long term, seems you do too, and I think you'll do just fine here with that average. Mine was 52.8 as I didn't have enough cojones at 45p.

Dunnie, AML were vulnerable to takeover, that's why they have taken the steps they have. It's all in the prospectus.
Now there is no-one who can challenge whatever Stroll and Merc want.
I can't find any shares I am confident in as a long term hold. AML was one, but I want to see what direction it takes in the short term before I risk any more cash in it.You You now have a small group of people controlling a company, and that's very much like any dictatorship... it can go either way.

Interesting that it's 51%, that and the other stuff mentioned in the prospectus stops a takeover by anyone else, categorically.
My guess is they will stay above 50% so they retain majority status, so every time they dilute, they'll have to buy more themselves.
It was more worrying for me that the Italians sold out completely, they were the only investors I trusted.

Dunnie, let's just stick to facts and numbers, I am not interested who is long/short, what they had for breakfast, or their favourite train noises.

So you make a positive statement, then when someone's questions you, the reponse is "I don't really know".
Stroll owns 20%, Merc will be given 10% ish in December, up to 20% in 2 years.

Your claim would hold true if the number of shares stayed the same, but they diluted 4 times in the last 8 months, and will repeat that for probably 2 years to come. They have NO OTHER WAY to pay the debts.

Consolidation changes nothing, except the company can dilute shareholders further, as the legislative limit (remember the one you asked Charlotte about?) is removed.

I don't expect trading update in December, that will be final year results.
Fewer shares around means volatility in both directions.
You get diluted while Stroll buys more and increases stake.

You might be closer to the truth than you think though.
Like AML, Matalan paid for their existing debt by issuing new debt.
After the shareholder vote, AML will have £500 million cash in the bank from issuing new debt and placing new shares at 50p.
That will last them around 6-8 at current burn rates, then they have £1.2Billion of debt and no way to pay the interest never mind pay the debt back.

No-one buys because it's completely overvalued, so Hargreaves pays himself 250 million after refinancing and loading the company with massive debt (bonds at 9.5% etc), some of the backing came from Kaupthing, the failed Icelandic bank.

C246, has been one of the few willing to openly debate the fundamentals of the company. The only way to counter that is with nonsensical waffle so his posts disappear from view, the quicker the better.
Its honesty of the highest order. I think he's reduced his holding which it the prudent thing to do when >20% of the company is being diluted in a week’s time.
No issues with anyone else who thinks the exact same as me, and keeps my insecurity at bay.
